Lew Doubles

With the board reading {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, we caught up to see Randy Lew counting out all of his chips for a double up. Lew's two pair with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} was enough to scoop the pot and double him up. He's now sitting around 59,000.

Let's Have Some Chips

One For Gavin

With the board reading {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Gavin Smith checked to his opponent who fired out a bet of 4,000. Smith called and the two saw a river of {Q-Clubs}. Smith pushed out a bet of 11,700 and his opponent was visibly frustrated.

"You show up with like jack-ten every time. This is ridiculous. I call", his opponent said, tabling {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Gavin flipped up {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a diamond flush and was able to scoop the pot.

Kenny Nguyen Fails, Karpati's on the Comeback Trail!

Kenny Nguyen has just been busted at the hands of Jimmy Gillot after moving the last his money in with {A-}{Q-}, but was out-flopped by Gillot's {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

"They got me again!" Nguyen lamented. "Bad beat everywhere, man!"

As for our Hungarian friend Imre Karpati? We passed by table 373 and our jaws dropped when we saw his stack - he's now on more than 24,000, which is more than he started the day with!

Recent Eliminations

Since we've reached the money, the action has been moving thick and fast throughout the Amazon Room, with Frank Croschere and Jeremy Gold amongst the latest players to have hit the rail.

Earlier, Gold got the last of his money into the middle with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, but ran into the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of Marion Tallent, which improved to a set after the dealer spread the board of {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

A short time later, Croschere moved all-in with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, but lost the flip for his tournament life against the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} of Niko Kivinemi when he paired up on the flop of {10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs} but couldn't improve after the turn and river ran out {6-Clubs}, {4-Spades}.

We can also confirm that both Russell Rosenblum and Josh Brikis have been sent to the rail.
