Yang Loses One; Seated with Former Athletes Stocz and Rink

After a player raised from middle position to 1,300, Jerry Yang called from the small blind and Jeremy Saunders called from the big blind to see the flop come down {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Everyone checked.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and everyone checked again. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Yang checked before Saunders bet 2,950. The middle-position player folded and action fell back on Yang. He tanked for a couple of minutes before finally making the call.

Saunders tabled the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for the nut straight and Yang mucked his hand.

Also at Yang's table are Eric Stocz and Paulo Rink, both former professional athletes. Stocz played football in the NFL while Rink was a professional soccer player in both Brazil and Germany. This should make for an interesting table to track today.

O'Shaughnessy Binks an O'Six

A player opened to 1,400 from middle position, David O'Shaughnessy called in the cutoff, and Charalampos Lappas three-bet to 5,200 from the small blind. Only O'Shaughnessy called. The flop was {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and Lappas led for 8,000. O'Shaughnessy called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Lappas moved all in for 16,925, and O'Shaughnessy called.

O'Shaughnessy{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Incredibly, the {6-Hearts} spiked on the river, ballooning O'Shaughnessy's stack to 162,000 chips.

Moon Landing

According to Oscar Kemps, Gabe Kaplan opened to 1,800 from under the gun, and the action folded to Darvin Moon, who three-bet to 4,000 from the big blind. Kaplan made the call, and the flop fell {k-}{q-}{7-}.

Moon open-jammed for his remaining 55,000 chips, and Kaplan called him immediately. Moon's {a-}{k-} was in bad shape against Kaplan's {q-}{q-}, and the turn and river came {j-}, {4-} respectively.

Moon was eliminated, while Kaplan's stack rocketed over 100,000 chips.

Negreanu Takes A Hit

We saw a few people gathering around Daniel Negreanu's table, so we went over to investigate. When we got there, we saw that Negreanu was calling a short stack's all in preflop of about 12,000. Another player also made the call, and the two players checked down a board of {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The short stack tabled a monster, {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, for a full house, and Negreanu flashed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} before mucking. After that hand, Negreanu is down to 120,000, which puts him down about 20,000 on the day.
