One for "Kunkles"

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With around 15,000 in the pot and a board reading {8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, John Andress bet 9,000 from the big blind and Steve "Kunkles" Bartlett called from the button. When the {K-Spades} completed the board on the river, Andress checked and Bartlett bet 9,000 of his own. It did the trick as Andress released his hand.

Here Comes Glazier

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jackie Glazier is no stranger to being the last woman in a tournament field. Glazier, who won the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe €1,100 Ladies Event for her first fold bracelet, was the last woman standing in last year's Main Event (she ultimately fell in 31st place for $229,281). Glazier just happens to be the last woman remaining here in Event #15: $3,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em.

In a recent hand, there was a flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} when Glazier bet 19,000 from the small blind and Olivier Busquet called from the button. Glazier then check-called a bet of 16,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn, which was followed by two checks on the {3-Clubs} river.

Glazier rolled over the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for aces and kings, and it was good as Busquet sent his cards to the muck unseen.

Some More Level 16 Eliminations

"Pretty Gross"

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Matt Jarvis opened for 6,500 from middle position only to have Jake Toole three-bet to 17,500 from the small blind. Jarvis made the call and it was heads-up action to the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop. Toole led out for 13,000, Jarvis called, and the {5-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn.

Toole bet again, this time 18,500, and again Jarvis called. When the {8-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Toole moved all in for his last 51,500 and Jarvis snap-called with the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. He was good on the flop, but Toole had made a full house on the turn with the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

"Pretty gross," Jarvis said as he counted out the chips to pay off Toole.

Cantu vs. Hellmuth

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Brandon Cantu opened for 10,000 from the button and Phil Hellmuth defended from the big blind, which brought about a flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Hellmuth check-called a bet of 11,000 and then both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn as well as the {10-Clubs} river.

Hellmuth revealed the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, but it was no good as Cantu paired on the turn with the {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Buddiga Busts Kenney

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Pratyush Buddiga has been on a little heater here in Level 16. Most recently he sent Bryn Kenney to the rail, though we failed to catch the hand. Whatever it was, it send Buddiga up to 470,000.

Korik Continues to Roll; Sends Guagenti to the Rail

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Nick Guagenti
Nick Guagenti

Zachary Kurik has been on fire ever since he doubled through Artem Metalidi. First he spiked the river to eliminate David Diaz, and now he's sent Nick Guagenti to the rail.

We missed the action, but Barry Hutter was kind enough to fill us in on some details. He said it began when Kurik raised from the small blind and Guagenti defended from the big. The {q-}{5-}{3-} flop, which contained two hearts, saw action go bet-call, and then Korik checked the {6-Hearts} turn. Guagenti bet 13,100, Korik check-raised to 30,000, and Guagenti called.

When a {5-} completed the board on the river, Korik returned to checking and Guagenti moved all in for roughly 95,000. Kurik called with {k-Hearts}{5-} for rivered trips, which bested Guagenti's {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} two pair.

Meanwhile, Paul Volpe has also been eliminated from the tournament.
