How'd Hoivold Get Ahold of Those Chips?

Nivel 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With 34,000 in the pot and a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Andreas Hoivold checked from late position and then called when Brandon Cantu bet 5,000. Both players then checked the {2-Hearts} turn and the {A-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Hoivold checked for a third time and Cantu fired out a big bet of 40,000.

Hoivold called and tabled the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for a rivered pair of aces, and it was good as Cantu instantly mucked.

Diaz Takes on the Dapper Dunst

Nivel 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

David Diaz opened for 3,500 from the button only to have Tony Dunst three-bet all in from the big blind. Diaz called off for 43,100 and it was off to the races.

Dunst: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Diaz: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Diaz needed to improve to stay alive, which is just what he did on the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop. The {8-Diamonds} turn meant Dunst needed to catch a six on the river to eliminate his opponent, but that didn't happen as the {A-Diamonds} rolled off. Ship the double to Diaz.

In Need of a Medic

Nivel 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Nenad Medic
Nenad Medic

A short-stacked Nenad Medic moved all in preflop for his last 19,400 and Bryn Kenney called him from the button. The blinds both folded and the cards were flipped on their backs.

Medic: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Kenney: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Medic was ahead, but Kenney was drawing to two live cars. The {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop paired Medic's ten, but it didn't change much as he still needed to dodge paint. That didn't happen though as the dealer burned and turned the {J-Diamonds}. Kenney paired his jack to take a hammerlock on the hand.

The {8-Diamonds} river bore no consequence on the hand, and Medic was sent to the payout desk.

Hutter vs. Dube: Only One Will Survive

Nivel 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Brandon Cantu opened for 6,500 under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 18,500 from Mark Dube in the cutoff. Barry Hutter then four-bet jammed from the small blind, Cantu folded, and Dube called off for 78,000 total.

Hutter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Dube: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

It was a classic flip, and Dube was looking good when the flop came down a harmless {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The {4-Spades} turn meant Dube just needed to dodge an ace and king on the river to stay alive, but that proved easier said than done as the {A-Clubs} spiked. Dube was eliminated in 84th place and will take home $5,041.
