Polk Smashes Smith on the River

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Doug "WCGRider" Polk, Gavin Smith, Sorel Mizzi, and a player in the big blind just saw a four-way {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop for 800 chips. All four players checked to see the {a-Diamonds} on the turn.

Polk and the player in the big blind checked, Smith fired 2,200, Mizzi and Polk call, and the player in the big blind folded. The river brought the {q-Diamonds} and Polk open-shoved for 11,275. Smith announced all in over top of Polk and Mizzi moved out of the way. Polk tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a back door nut flush and Smith tossed his hand in the muck.

Earlier this year we did an article about Polk's rise in the highest stakes of online poker. Read more here.
