Bronstein Secures a Spot at the Final Table

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Noah Bronstein
Noah Bronstein

"All in," Ira Marcus said over at Table 353.

"Call," responded Noah Bronstein.

Marcus: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Bronstein: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Both players held an ace, but Marcus had some major kicker problems. When the flop came down {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and gave Bronstein a pair of kings, Marcus stood up in preparation for his exit. The {A-Spades} turn left him drawing dead, and after the {7-Clubs} was put out on the river, he shook hands with Bronstein and made his way to the payout desk.

Bronstein will begin tomorrow's final table with 354,000 in chips.

Kilpatrick Metaphorically Kills Mitchell

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Kory Mitchell's day is done.
Kory Mitchell's day is done.

On a flop of {5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, a raising war resulted in Kory Kilpatrick getting his stack of 62,600 all in against Kory Mitchell. The former was ahead with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for two pair, while the later had top pair with the {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Neither the {8-Diamonds} turn nor {2-Clubs} river helped Mitchell, and he was left with 70,000 while Kilpatrick doubled to 165,000.

Not long after, a {3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop saw Mitchell get his remaining stack all in and Kilpatrick call.

Kilpatrick: {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Mitchell: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The turn gave Kilpatrick trips, but he needed some help on the river if he were to overcome Mitchell's flush. Wouldn't you know it, he got it when the {6-Hearts} paired the board.

"So sick," Mitchell said as the full house sent him to the rail. That leaves Kilpatrick to do heads-up battle against former November Niner John Dolan.

Linde Dispatches Cody to Advance to the Final Table

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Dylan Linde
Dylan Linde

Jake Cody moved all in for his last 25,500 from the button and Dylan Linde called from the big blind.

Linde: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Cody: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It was a flip, but Cody was the one that needed to improve to stay alive. The {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop didn't provide him any help, and neither did the {2-Clubs} turn. Cody needed either a jack or nine on the river to stay alive, but it wasn't meant to be as the {8-Diamonds} blanked.

Linde will return tomorrow for the final table with 346,000.

Bolotin Doubles Through Froehlich

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Alex Bolotin shoved on the button for 22,500 and Narendra Banwari gave it some thought in the small blind before he folded. Eric Froehlich also tanked for about 30 seconds in the big blind before he called.

Bolotin: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Froehlich: {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, giving Bolotin a flush to double up.

Both players still trail Narendra Banwari.

Mizzi Back in Business

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We saw an excited Sorel Mizzi get out of his chair, and when we made our way over we discovered why. It's because he had just doubled through Jack Duong.

It appeared Mizzi managed to get his stack all in on the river with a board reading {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Duong held two pair with the {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but it was no good as Mizzi had the wheel with the {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}. With that Mizzi closed the gap between him and Duong.

Updated Chip Counts from Table 357

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Duong and Mizzi Heads Up

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Tamer Kamel was all in for about 78,000 from the big blind with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} against Jack Duong's {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} on the button.

The flop fell {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to give Kamel the lead with a pair of aces, but the {Q-Spades} fell on the turn to lock up the pot for Duong. The {8-Spades} river improved Duong's hand to a full house, eliminating Kamel and giving Duong a sizable heads-up chip lead vs. Sorel Mizzi.

Cody Keeps His Shootout Hopes Alive

Nivel 5 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In the first hand after coming back from the break, Jake Cody moved all in from the button for 13,800 and Dylan Linde called from the big blind.

Cody: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Linde: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Cody was well out in front, and his position got even stronger when the {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop gave him a flush draw. Neither the {3-Hearts} turn nor {10-Clubs} river influenced the hand, and Cody's ace high secured him a double.
