Get That Paper

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We are now in the money, and the remaining players will all collect some money for their efforts. Two players will split the 216th place money, but we don't have their names yet.

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The cards were already flipped and the board run out by the time we got to Table 30. Erik Seidel had {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} in front of him, good for a set on the {7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board. That was bad news for his opponent, who held {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

According to players reconstructing the hand afterwards, three people had put in 2,300 each before the flop, and the player with kings bet 3,200. Seidel raised to 7,000, the player with kings reraised to 14,100, and Seidel shipped.

The player with kings lamented Seidel's stack, saying if Seidel had 10,000 more he would have gotten away from the cowboys.

D'Alesandro's Aces

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dave D'Alesandro just picked up aces to pick off the aggressive female a few seats over holding {a-}{q-} and willing to put it all at risk just a few spots from the money.

He's now the second player over the 100k mark as a result.

On The Lam

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Simon Lam, who managed a 72nd-place finish in the 2013 WSOP Main Event for a $100k-plus score, is the first player to crest the 100k mark here.

He turned {j-}{j-} into a rivered full house and got in a post-river raising war with Dwyte Pilgrim that saw Pilgrim eventually call off his sizable stack with {q-}{q-}.

Karim's "Troll Bet" Gets Paid Off

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We found Zo Karim in position, calling a bet of 2,600 on a board of {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Karim's opponent checked the {5-Hearts} river, and Karim slowly reach towards his stack and... dropped a single T1,000 chip into the middle.

"Wow, what a troll bet," Karim's opponent said with a laugh. He made the call, and Karim showed {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to take the pot.

Koon Cut in Half

Nivel 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jason Koon just had to send half of his stack to an opponent after Koon's {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} failed to improve all in before the flop against {a-Spades}{k-Spades}.

Merson Mucked

Nivel 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

Greg Merson found a good spot and went with it, pushing all in over a button raise for 11,100 from the big blind.

The button called and Merson's {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} was ahead of the button's {a-Spades}{7-Spades}.

All that changed on the all-spade {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, however, and Merson was sent home after a {q-Clubs} turn and {5-Diamonds} river.

Zo Karim just doubled up with {a-}{a-} against an opponent who held {a-}{k-}. We were unable to catch the community cards before the dealer swept them up.

Brecher Kaves

Nivel 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

After Steve Brecher checked the turn on a {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board, Byron Kaverman took the lead, making it 1,800.

Brecher made the call and checked again on the {q-Spades} river. Kaverman responded with a 4,300-chip bet and Brecher quickly let it go.
