Martin Crippled

Nivel 3

We caught the action on sixth street when Jesse Martin check-called a bet from Jeff Madsen and on seventh the same thing scenario repeated itself.

Martin: (X-X) / {5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / (X)
Madsen: (X-X) / {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / (X)

Madsen showed {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} for two pair and he took down this pot, as Martin stared at the board for a long time before giving up his hand. Martin was left with just 900 chips and he will have to win quite a few pots before getting back into this thing.

Omaha 8

Alexandre Luneau raised in middle position, Brian Tate made it three bets, and the action folded back to the Luneau, who called.

The dealer fanned {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}, Luneau check-called a bet, and then check-called another on the turn ({4-Hearts}). Both players checked on the river ({a-Spades}), and both players tabled their holdings:

Tate: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Luneau: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Tate scooped the pot with Broadway, and is now up to 66,000 chips. Luneau is down to 4,500.

Aces For Ivey

Nivel 3

Stud

Sabyl Cohen had the bring in and from her immediate left it was Phil Ivey who completed and Alexander Kostritsyn raised from his left. The action folded back around to Ivey and he made the call.

On fourth street Ivey check-called and the action was checked on fifth and sixth. Ivey bet out himself on seventh and his opponent quickly called.

Ivey: (X-X) / {J-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades} / (X)
Kostritsyn: (X-X) / {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / (X)

Ivey turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for three of a kind and Kostitsyn mucked his cards giving this one up to the nine time bracelet winner.

Flack Short

Stud

Layne Flack: {x-}{x-} / {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} / {x-}
Chris Klodnicki: {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}

One bet went in on fourth street, and the pair checked on fifth and sixth. Klodnicki led out on seventh street, Flack raised, and Klodnicki made it three bets. Flack made a crying call, picking up his cards and signaling a muck, and Klodnicki showed {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a flush.

Schneider Slips

Nivel 3

Stud

Dan Kelly: {x-}{x-} / {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}fold
Tom Schneider: {x-}{x-} / {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
James Obst: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}fold
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {x-}

Rheem brought it in, Schneider and Obst both called, and a player in Seat 8 completed. Kelly, Schneider, and Obst called. The player who completed led out on the next three streets - all three players called on fourth, but only Schneider called on fifth - and the player fired out another bet on sixth street. Schneider called.

Both players knuckled on seventh, and the defending champion mucked when his opponnet opened up {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

During the last break, we spotted Chun Lei Zhou standing across the room, scoping out what would be his new table. Zhou, known online as "samrostan," is a high-stakes online cash game player, and he is down over $8 million in his career.

“My favorite game? I like all games — Omaha, 8-game, mixed games. I don’t want to play no-limit hold’em,” Zhou told our own Chad Holloway at the EPT Grand Final.

If Zhou is able to find an opponent, he’ll play any game for as long as they like.

“I never sleep, it’s sick,” says Zhou, who claims to have played for 40 hours straight one time.

Zhou was seen chumming it up with Phil Ivey before the cards went back in the air - Ivey flashed one of the bigger grins we've seen all summer.

All the way across the room is Russian Ivan "vandir4rek" Soshnikov. Soshnikov took down the 2014 SCOOP Main Event a few weeks ago, earning just over $1 million.
