KKohlberg

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Curt Kohlberg
Curt Kohlberg

The action checked to Curt Kohlberg on a board of {8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and he tossed out 1,500. Harrison Gimbel called on the button, a player folded in the blinds, and the {q-Clubs} completed the board.

Kohlberg, who recently reached the final table of the Season XII WPT World Championship, led out for 3,000. Gimbel called, then mucked when the Psycho Ninja tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} for a flopped set of kings.

"If We Ever Have a Cash Game, You're Not Invited"

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Galen Hall - Not invited
Galen Hall - Not invited

Cary Katz and Galen Hall were heads up on a board of {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} with around 5,000 in the middle, and both players checked. The river was the {6-Diamonds}, and Katz tossed out a min-bet of 300.

Hall went into the tank.

"It's a thin value-bet," Katz said.

Hall didn't respond.

"You can always raise," Katz told him.

Hall continued to tank.

"It's a blocker bet," Katz said. "You can't have a seven. You would've bet on the turn with a seven."

"I could have a six," Hall said.

"You could have a six," Katz responded.

Another 10 seconds elapsed.

"Clock," Katz told the dealer.

The dealer was about to call the floor.

"I'm kidding," Katz then said, chuckling.

The other four players at the table erupted with laughter.

"I don't know if I want to raise or call," Hall said, finally committing the minimum bet.

"Three pair," Katz said, showing {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Hall opened up {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a superior hand, and was pushed the pot.

"Damn, you're slow," Katz told him, grinning. "If we ever have a cash game, you're not invited."

Chewy vs. Tran

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

With roughly 8,500 in the middle and the board reading {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}, JC Tran checked to Andrew Lichtenberger, who bet 3,000. Tran called.

The river was the {10-Hearts}, Tran checked again, and this time Lichtenberger checked behind.

"Ace-high," Tran announced.

Lichtenberger turned over {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a pair of tens, and was awarded the pot. Here are counts from the table:

Amit Makhija opened to 525 in the cutoff, Ami Barer three-bet to 1,400 out of the small blind, and Makhija four-bet to 3,000. Less than 30 seconds elapsed before Barer min-five-bet to 4,600, and Makhija moved all in for effectively 18,600.

Kitai Busts Sowers

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

In a four-bet pot, Davidi Kitai and Mike Sowers saw the flop come down {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}. Both players checked, and the turn was the {8-Clubs}. Kitai checked, Sowers bet 3,500, and Kitai check-raised all in. Sowers snap-called for all of his chips (15,125) and tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for him, Kitai turned a set with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Sowers was out the door.

Jonathan Jaffe bet 5,000 on the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board, and Joseph Cheong made the call. After the {8-Spades} paired the board on the river, both players checked.

"Ten high," announced Jaffe.

Cheong tabled the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for two pair, and he won the pot.

Mizrachi Joins Action Table

Nivel 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

After entering the tournament late, posting, raising his first hand, and taking down the pot, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi opened the next hand to 525 from the hijack seat. Jonathan Jaffe called from the button, and then Davidi Kitai three-bet from the small blind to 1,800. Mizrachi called, and Jaffe folded.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and Kitai led for 1,275. Mizrachi called, and the turn was the {Q-Hearts}. Kitai bet 3,300, and Mizrachi folded.

Also at this table are Greg Merson, Mike Sowers, and Joseph Cheong, so we'll be keeping a close eye on any action as this could be a very fun one to report on.
