Hall Shows the Bluff

Nivel 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

When we arrived at the table, Galen Hall was all in and at risk for 16,550 on a completed board of {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. His opponent was in the tank.

"You know if you tank for more than 10 minutes you're not allowed to muck facedown," Hall told him.

"Really?" the player responded.

Hall nodded.

After a few more minutes of deliberation, the player folded, and Hall showed the bluff; {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Run It Up

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

On the {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Scott Seiver bet 2,700, and Jason Somerville called to see the {K-Clubs} land on the turn. Seiver bet 5,000, and Somerville called.

The river was the {5-Spades}, and Seiver moved all in. Somerville quickly called off his remaining stack for 17,050 total and tabled the {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a rivered straight. Seiver mucked his hand, and Somerville doubled up to over 50,000 in chips.

Gaelle Baumann

Scott Seiver raised to 700 on the button, Amit Makhija called out of the small blind, and Gaelle Baumann reraised to 2,800 in the big blind. Seiver called, Makhija folded, and the dealer fanned {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Seiver check-called a bet of 2,900, the turn was the {9-Diamonds}, and we thought we hear Baumann announce "forty-five hundred" on the turn.

As she tossed a pink T5,000 chip forward, Seiver mucked, and she was awarded the pot.

Cheong Turns a Set Against Kitai

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

From under the gun, Davidi Kitai, winner of Event #15: $3,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, raised to 675. Joseph Cheong called from the cutoff seat, and everyone else folded before the dealer fanned the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. Kitai bet 800, and Cheong called.

The {5-Diamonds} hit the board on fourth street, and Kitai slowed down with a check. Cheong fired 1,800, and Kitai called to see the river, which was the {Q-Hearts}. Kitai checked, Cheong bet 7,200, and Kitai tank-called.

Cheong turned up the {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Kitai mucked.

Touil's Pair Beats Merson's Ace High

Nivel 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

From the cutoff seat, Fabrice Touil raised to 700. Greg Merson called from the big blind, and the flop came down {K-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}. Merson checked, Touil bet 900, and Merson called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, and Merson check-called another bet from Touil. This time the bet was for 1,600.

The river was the {9-Clubs}, and both players checked.

Merson showed the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for ace high, and Touil tabled the {7-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a pair of sixes. Touil's hand was best, and he won the pot.
