Cheong Chipping Up

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Anthony Miller raised to 2,500 from late position and Joseph Cheong called from the button. The flop was {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and both players checked.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Miller check-called a bet of 4,000 from Cheong. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Miller checked. Cheong threw out a bet of 11,500 and Miller made the call, but mucked when Cheong rolled over {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the flopped set.

Cheong started the day below average in chips, but has built a nice stack here early on Day 2.

Boatman Busts One

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Andjelko Andrejevic was all in for just over 12,000 and Boatman weighed up the call for a few moments before putting the chips in. Andrejevic had the picture cards {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Boatman the baby pair {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

The tables eyes were glued to the cards as they came out {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and Boatman’s full house did the job, earning him the pot and a knockout of Andrejevic.

Awkward Double-Up For Fhima

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

It folded to Colin Dentan in the small blind who bet enough to commit big blind David Fhima’s stack if he wanted to play. He decided he did and put all his chips in and turned over {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. He probably wished he hadn’t as he saw he was facing {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The cards ran out {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and the queen popped out to save Fhima.

There was an awkward silence as the dealer counted out how much Fhima was owed until Layne Flack, looking on, offered a “Good hand.”

Hennigan Holds for a Double

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Satoshi Isomae raised to 2,700 from early position and John Hennigan raised to 19,200 from the small blind, leaving himself just 1,200 behind. Isomae thought for a while and finally put out enough chips to put Hennigan all in and Hennigan called.

Isomae: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Hennigan: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Hennigan's stack is now a little more comfortable.

Townsend Terminated

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Alex Kravchenko
Alex Kravchenko

A brief preflop raising war resulted in Wade Townsend calling an all-in bet of 40,700 from Alex Kravchennko with the less-than-stellar {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Kravchenko turned over {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and by the river the board read {9-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to leave Kravchenko's hand the best.

Kravchenko covered Townsend by around 10,000 chips and Townsend was therefore eliminated.

Wheeler Wins One From Linde

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The player under the gun folded and Jason Wheeler raised to 2,600 from the next seat along. It looked to be a raise that would win the blinds and antes because each of the active players folded in turn. That was until Dylan Linde called from the big blind to make it heads up to the {2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.

Linde check-called a 1,800 bet on the flop, before both players checked the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Line then check-called a 2,500 bet on the river and handed the chips to Wheeler because his {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} was second best to Wheeler's {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Boeree is Bust

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree moved all in for her last 9,600 and James Mackey made the call from the big blind with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Boeree turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and was in good shape to double, until the flop came {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Spades}, vaulting Mackey into the lead with two pair. The board completed {4-} and then {5-}, and Boeree headed to the rail.

Boeree Survives

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Liv Boeree was all in for her last 3,600 from late position and she got looked up by the small blind who turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Boeree had the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}.

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} to give Boeree a double-up, but she will need a few more of those to get out of the danger zone.
