Lapossie Loses Some Ground

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Matthew Lapossie checked from the hijack on a flop reading {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, putting the action on Jesse Sylvia on the button. With more than 20,000 in the pot already, Sylvia moved all-in for 30,400 and Lapossie called.

Sylvia: {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Lapossie: {4-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {7-Spades} turn put the ball firmly in Sylvia's court and when the {A-Clubs} showed up on the river, Sylvia doubled.

Lafaye Doubles

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Glenn Lafaye opened to 2,100 from middle position and David Fhima three-bet to 5,400 from the button. The blinds folded and Lafaye moved all in for 35,100. Fhima made the quick call and tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Lafaye turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and the race was on.

Lafaye paired his ace on the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop and it held as the board completed {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

Loeser Catches a Lucky River

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Manig Loeser moved all in with what turned out to be {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} from early position and Liv Boeree looked him up from the cutoff with the superior {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Boeree improved her hand on the {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and stayed ahead on the {6-Diamonds} turn. All was looking good for Boeree until the {9-Diamonds} landed on the river to improve Loeser to the best hand and leave Boeree with only 6,100 chips.

After running into the pocket aces of Ryan Jaconetti, Adam Levy has been eliminated.

Boatman Gets His Stack Back

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There was a raise to 2,000 from early position and two callers by the time it got to Barny Boatman in the small blind. Boatman pumped it up to 8,500. One of the players asked how much the bet was but in the end they all folded.

Boatman showed them {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and was delighted to get his stack up to what he thought he’d bagged last night. He was less delighted when seconds later England fell behind in the World Cup game.

Boeree All In On the River

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

James Mackey opened for 2,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree called in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} and both players checked. On the {3-Hearts} turn Boeree bet 3,000 and Mackey made the call. The {8-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Boeree moved all in for just over a pot-sized bet. Mackey let it go and Boeree collected a few more chips after surviving her encounter with the big stack.

Loeser Loses a Flip

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

As we walked past Table 438 we noticed the dealer counting out an all-in bet and sending a large pot to James Casey in Seat 2.

Casey had {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} in front of him and Manig Loeser {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Casey had spiked an ace on the river of the {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} board to leave Loeser with only 11,900 chips in front of him.

Chattaway Doubles Through Yagura

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Takashi Yagura opened with a raise to 2,500 from late position and faced an all-in three-bet of 14,900 from William Chattaway from one seat over. Yagura had an easy call to make, which he did, with his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and he discovered he was way ahead of his opponent's {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Yagura lost the lead in the hand when Chattaway made a set on the {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and when the turn and river fell {5-Spades} and {2-Spades} Chattaway's double was complete.
