There was a raise to 2,000 from early position and two callers by the time it got to Barny Boatman in the small blind. Boatman pumped it up to 8,500. One of the players asked how much the bet was but in the end they all folded.
Boatman showed them 
and was delighted to get his stack up to what he thought he’d bagged last night. He was less delighted when seconds later England fell behind in the World Cup game.
