Demis Hassabis Eliminated in 11th Place ($27,192)

Nivel 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Demis Hassabis - 11th place
Demis Hassabis - 11th place

Demis Hassabis raised on the button, Darius Studdard called from the big blind and the flop fell {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Studdard check-called 50000 from Hassabis to see the {8-Spades} turn. Before long, Hassabis was all in for about 220,000.

Hassabis: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Studdard: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Studdard led with a queen-high straight against Hassabis' flush draw. The {A-Diamonds} river gave Hassabis a meaningless set, ending his tournament in 11th place.

Wheel For Studdard

Nivel 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Phil Laak raised to 37,000 in the hijack, Darius Studdard called in the cutoff and Kory Kilpatrick defended his big blind.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Laak who bet 78,000. Only Studdard called to see the {4-Spades} turn, which both players checked. The {3-Diamonds} river completed the board and Laak checked. Studdard bet 115,000, Laak called and Studdard tabled {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a wheel.

Laak mucked, giving Studdard the pot.

Laak Clips Mizzi

Nivel 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Phil Laak raised the minimum from the cutoff and both Darius Studdard and Sorel Mizzi made the call before both players checked the {4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop.

The turn landed the {K-Spades} and Mizzi bet out 68,000 and only Laak called as the river of the {A-Diamonds} went check, check.

"One pair," announced Mizzi.

"I want to see all four cards sir!" responded Laak as Mizzi tabled his {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Laak tabled his {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and was pushed the pot.

Laak Takes the Lead Back From Kilpatrick

Nivel 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Phil Laak

After a {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Phil Laak checked from the big blind and Kory Kilpatrick bet 45,000 on the button. Laak check-raised the pot to 205,000, Kilpatrick reraised to effectively 448,000 and Laak called all in.

Laak: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Kilpatrick: {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Laak held two pair and looked to hold up against Kilpatrick's wrap. The {10-Spades} turn locked it up for Laak with tens full of threes, rendering the {6-Diamonds} river moot.

Crawford: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, giving Crawford a six-high straight to double up.
