James Davis Eliminated in 21st Place ($6,048)

Nivel 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
James Davis
James Davis

David Chiu opened for a raise and James Davis three-bet leaving himself with just 7,000 in chips. Chiu made the call and a flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} was put out on the board. Chiu checked, Davis bet, Chiu raised to set Davis all-in and Davis made the call and the hands were turned over:

Chiu: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Davis: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The turn was the {6-Hearts} giving Chiu a set of sixes and Davis started to get up thinking he was drawing dead. A couple of players pointed out he had the nut flush draw and he stood looking intently at the board, waiting for the river card. It was the {9-Diamonds} and Davis was eliminated in 21st place.

Chad Lousberg - 22nd
Chad Lousberg - 22nd

Chad Lousberg had put nearly his entire stack in before the flop and had been called by Steven Wolansky. Lousberg sat poised with his last chip to put in on the flop of {9-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and dropped it in. Wolansky matched it and they turned over their cards.

Lousberg had {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and faced the {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} of Wolansky.

The turn was the {6-Spades}, the river the {q-Hearts} and Lousberg was gone.

Sam Barnhart Eliminated in 23rd Place ($6,048)

Nivel 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Sam Barnhart
Sam Barnhart

Sam Barnhart raised from the button and Jon Seaman called out of the big blind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Seaman check-called a Barnhart bet. He would do the same on the {Q-Spades} turn and then lead out on the {9-Diamonds} river. Barnhart made a crying call and Seaman turned over {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered straight. A frustrated Barnhart turned over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and was left with just 5,500 in chips.

Those chips would go in three hands later with Barnhart holding {K-}{8-}. Bryce Landier had {A-}{8-} and would flop an ace to send Barnhart on his way in 23rd place.

Matt Woodward - 24th
Matt Woodward - 24th

Matt Woodward bet most of his remaining chips when the flop came {6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and got called by Eric Bensamochan. The rest went in on the turn card {6-Clubs} and Woodward showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but Bensamochan had hit the nut flush with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. The river came the {2-Clubs}.

“I was actually ahead on the flop. Sort of.” Woodward said as he headed for the pay put desk.

Jeff Shulman
Jeff Shulman

Jeff Shulman was all in for less than one bet with {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and was against James Davis and his {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The flop came{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} keeping Davis in the lead. The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Shulman would need some help on the river if he wanted to remain in the tournament. Th river was the {5-Clubs} and Davis won the hand with Shulman being eliminated in 25th place.

Mike Laing Eliminated in 26th Place ($6,048)

Nivel 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Mike Laing - 26th
Mike Laing - 26th

Mike Laing had been working his short stack for a fairly long time over the last few levels and managed to double up shortly before the break. He remained short and his son on the rail told him he just needed another double up soon to keep going.

He got it pretty much all in on the turn of a board reading {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and was called by Sean Berrios. The river was the {7-Clubs}.

Laing turned over {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair and the missed straight flush draw, but all that mattered was that Berrios turned over {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the straight to bust him

Andrey Danilyuk Eliminated in 27th Place ($6,048)

Nivel 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Andrey Danilyuk wa sall in preflop with {8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and only had to get through Jeff Lisandro holding {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The cards ran out {8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and some hope on the flop for Danilyuk turned into no hope and no chips by the river.
