Big Stacks at Table 439

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Busted; 55th-63rd Place ($8,096)

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The following players have been eliminated between 55th and 63rd place, earning $8,096:

Oh Man, River

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A shove of around 50,000 from the button saw Erwann Pecheux and make the call.

His opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Pecheux pretended to throw his hand away with his opponent joking, “Please do.” The {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} was turned over and the dealer dealt the cards.

Out they came {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} and on the river the eliminated player uttered a single word.

Khalili Not Krushed

Nivel 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sohale Khalili
Sohale Khalili

Sohale Khalili in the big blind called a 12,000 raise by the button and saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Khalili check called a 11,000 bet and on the turn {4-Spades} he check raised a 23,000 bet to 55,000. His opponent called and the river was the {2-Diamonds}. Khalili then led out for 75,000.

It was a very strong line that Khalili had taken and his opponent know it and took his time making his decision. “You’re supposed to be crushed.” he eventually decided and made the call.

Khalili showed {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and his opponent mucked but said he had {k-}{4-}.

Sung Vaults Into Chip Lead

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We missed the preflop action but Steve Sung had a player all in and their cards were face up. Both players had larger than average stacks and a classic race for the chip lead was underway.

Sung: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

A {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop gave Sung a slew of outs. The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and Sung was down to the final card on the board. The {a-Hearts} smacked down on the river and Sung's opponent was eliminated.

Middleton Done

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Tom Middleton
Tom Middleton

After all their battles today, it wasn’t Ty Reiman who took out Tom Middleton, but he did furnish PokerNews with the hand that sealed his exit.

It folded to Middleton on the button who moved in for 85,000 with {a-}{5-}, the small blind reshoved for 90,000 holding {a-}{j-} which led to the big blind calling with {4-}{4-}.

No help for Middleton from the dealer and he headed for the exit, perhaps for a refreshing beer.

Another Cash for Flack

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Layne Flack
Layne Flack

Lane Flack opened for 15,000 and the player in the big blind asked to see his stack, which was around 60,000 before moving all in. Flack called and turned over {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and was facing {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

A chop looked a strong possibility but the flop {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} changed that. The turn {4-Spades} and river {k-Diamonds} sealed Flack’s exit but he could add another event to his long list of 2014 WSOP cashes.
