Maurice Hawkins Eliminated in 12th Place ($40,666)

Nivel 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

After taking a walk to cool off, Maurice Hawkins returned to the table and opened for 100,000. It was folded to Eric Baldwin in the big blind who asked Hawkins how much he had behind. Hawkins raised his hands haphazardly so Baldwin could take a look at his stack. After a few moments, Baldwin calmly pushed his massive stack forward. Hawkins snap-called and the cards were turned over:

Hawkins: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Baldwin: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

"Ace or a queen," Hawkins said, pleading to hit one of his two cards.

The dealer obliged, putting out a flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to give Hawkins a pair of aces. It did give Baldwin a flush draw, however.

"Hold. Hold," Hawkins said, a look of despair on his face.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} giving Baldwin the flush. Hawkins sat there, disappointment all over his face. Pain evident.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Hawkins stormed off to the side and then walked off, not believing what had happened in the last ten minutes. From "we're going to be here a long time" to gone. In a blink of an eye.

Wladislaw Eckhardt Eliminated in 14th Place ($31,804)

It would take another huge coin flip to turn Shai Zurr from zero to hero after starting the level on just 11 big blinds. After the previous huge double up and knockout, he now picked up {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for a total all in of 1,200,000 in chips. Wladislaw Eckhardt had about two big blinds less and turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

Flop: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Zurr turned around to his rail in shock, glanced back at the board and the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn to guarantee him the pot. The meaningless {6-Spades} river completed the board and Eckhardt was gone.

Michael Tureniec Eliminated in 15th Place ($31,084)

Nivel 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Tureniec
Michael Tureniec

Maurice Hawkins opened the action pre-flop for a raise and Michael Tureniec three-bet. Hawkins made the call and the two would see a flop of {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Hawkins checked and Tureniec bet 175,000. Hawkins looked as if he was going to call but then announced that he was all in for 940,000 on top.

Tureniec thought about it for a moment as Hawkins was walking off talking to his rail telling them "we all in." Tureniec made the call and turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Hawkins came back, looked at Tureniec's cards and proudly said "I have {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}" and turned those exact cards over.

"Five of hearts," Hawkins said. The dealer put out the {J-Clubs}.

"Come on," yelled Hawkins. The dealer put out the {2-Spades} and Hawkins whooped it up with his friends. "We're going to be here a while boys," he said to his rail.

Tureniec was left with just 10,000 in chips and would be eliminated two hands later at the hand of Jackduyph Duong.

Nick Davies Eliminated in 16th Place ($25,087)

Nivel 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Kevin Eyster raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and Shai Zurr moved all in for 430,000 from the small blind. Nick Davies had even less one seat over and called all in for 250,000.

Eyster: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Zurr: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Davies: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

Two short stacks were at risk of elimination and the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop gave Eyster the lead. The {9-Diamonds} turn changed nothing but the {8-Spades} on the river gave Zurr a straight. Davies hit the rail in 16th place and Eyster took a hit to his stack.

Set Over Set Once Again

Nivel 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Bao Nguyen raised from middle position and Kevin Eyster announced all in for 620,000 while enjoying a massage. Nguyen asked for a quick count and then made the call, turning over {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Eyster was way ahead with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} but the {2-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was a tough pill to swallow.

Only a few moments later came the relief in the form of the {A-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} river completed the board. Unlike the huge set over set on table 447 before, this roller coaster double up caused barely any noise from spectators and other players at the table.

Alexander Ziskin
Alexander Ziskin

Table short stack Alexander Ziskin was all in preflop and at risk with {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} of chip leader Jackduyph Duong. There was no help on the {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board and Ziskin headed to the payout desk.

Eisen Climbing Back Into Contention

Nivel 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins opened for 75,000 and was called by Brandon Eisen. Hawkins would check on the {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop and call an 85,000 bet from Eisen. Hawkins would lead out for a smallish bet of 45,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn and get called by Eisen.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Hawkins bet larger this time for a total of 275,000. Eisen thought about it for a second and then called. Hawkins showed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens with a king kicker but he was one notch behind Eisen who held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.
