Lapossie Makes Gutsy Call
With slightly more than 15,000 in the pot, Matthew Lapossie was facing an 11,000 bet from his lone opponent on a board of 
. That bet was just a little less than what Lapossie had sitting in front of him.
"That was some river," said Lapossie. His opponent smiled, like the cat that ate the canary.
That was enough to convince Lapossie to make the call. "Good call," said his opponent, tabling 
for a busted flush draw. Lapossie turned over 
for a pair of jacks to win the pot. Lapossie is coming off of a seventh place finish in the Little One for One Drop where he took home $89,020 and back in February won the 2014 Fallsview Poker Classic for $326,235. It's been a good year for the Canadian but it can get even better with a deep run in the biggest tournament of the year.
