Phan with Jacks

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Joe Tehan opened with a raise to 450 from early position. The next two players called, and then Tim Phan reraised to 1,700 from the cutoff seat. Action folded back to Tehan, he called, the player after him called, and the other player folded.

On the flop, the dealer laid out the {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Tehan led with a bet of 3,100, and only Phan made the call to see the turn. After the {K-Hearts} was added to the board, both players checked to see the {7-Hearts} land on the river. Both Tehan and Phan checked again.

Phan showed the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, and Tehan mucked his cards.

Hsiung Shoves on the River

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Kenny Hsiung checked to Garrett Greer on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and he bet 600. The 2012 WSOP bracelet winner check-raised to 1,600, Greer called, and the turn was the {10-Spades}.

Hsiung led out for 4,100, Greer called, and the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

"All in," Hsiung announced, committing the remainder of his 12,000-chip stack.

Greer mulled the decision over for no longer than a minute, then slid his cards into the muck.

Breaking Brasilia

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A lot of tables are breaking in Brasilia with most players going to Amazon, but Chris Moneymaker got a table move to another in the same room. He opened for 300 declaring, “I’m not stealing.” One player called and another raised to 1,350. Moneymaker joked that he much preferred his previous table and folded his hand.

Some notables in the room seem to be having less fun, including David Vamplew and Andrew Lichtenberger who have around half the chips they started with.

"I Had A Lot of Cards"

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a board of {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} with roughly 2,500 in the pot, Abe Mosseri was faced with a bet of 1,200. Mosseri bumped it up to 2,800 and his opponent called before the {A-Hearts} on the river was checked through.

Mosseri's opponent tabled his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Mosseri folded while slipping to 47,000.

"I had a lot of cards" stated Mosseri.

"I'm just not smart enough to fold" responded his opponent.

Merson Raises Perkins

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Eric Worre limped in from early position, and then Greg Merson raised to 675 from the next seat. Action folded to Bill Perkins in the big blind, and he reraised to 1,800. After Worre folded, Merson called.

The flop was {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and both Perkins and Merson checked to see the {Q-Diamonds} fall on the turn. After Perkins led with a bet of 2,200, Merson raised to 5,700. Perkins had a little over 17,000 behind and went into the tank. Merson, who had a little under 11,000 behind, waited patiently while riffling chips with both hands.

Eventually, Perkins folded, and Merson pulled in the pot.

On a board of {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the pot sitting at roughly 5,000, Layne Flack was faced with a 2,100-chip bet.

Flack called as a third player folded before the dealer delivered the {5-Hearts} on the river.

Flack checked and his opponent bet out 2,200 with Flack quickly calling and then folding once he saw his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush.

Sapiano is Slipping

Nivel 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Albert Sapiano is down to 6,800 chips after a difficult start here in the Main Event. Although his 6,800 is much less than the 30,000 he started with, the amazing structure of this tournament means Sapiano still has 34 big blinds at his disposal.
