Jacobson Building

Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson opened from under the gun to 800 and only the big blind made the call as the dealer spread a {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Spades} flop.

Jacobson continued for 900 and the big blind quickly called as the turn landed the {7-Spades} and the big blind checked.

Taking about two minutes to come up with a decision, Jacobson opted to splash the pot with a bet of 2,500. The big blind quickly folded and then asked Jacobson, "Would you fold to a check-raise?"

Jacobson remained ice cold like the winters in Sweden and began raking in the pot without making a single facial expression to move to 121,200.

"Have the Next One ... Maybe"

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Following an open to 800, Nick DiVella three-bet the cutoff to 2,200.

"You can't play me, I run too good" stated DiVella as his opponent sat there deliberating.

"I know. I flop a straight and you tie me on the river" responded DiVella's opponent.

Eventually DiVella's opponent folded as DiVella was pushed the pot to send him to 100,500.

"I'll let you have the next one ... maybe" sheepishly said DiVella.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko called a 650 bet in position and got to a heads-up flop of {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

The preflop raiser continued for 700 and Timoshenko who had been eating some food put it to one side. He sat quietly for a few moments and raised to 2,000.

His opponent called and the turn was the {k-Hearts} which he then checked. Timoshenko bet 4,000 and his opponent riffled his chips for a while before releasing his hand.

Makiievskyi Five-Bet Shoves on Ramone

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The action folded to Nick Rampone in the cutoff and he made it 600 to play. The button called, but Anton Makiievskyi squeezed to 2,500. With the action back on him, Rampone four-bet to 4,700. Makiievskyi stared down Rampone before five-betting all-in and Rampone released his hand.

Both players shared a wry smile with each other as Makiievskyi raked in the pot.

Tran Loses Strange Four-Bet Pot

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was a raise to 800 from under the gun, Andy Bloch called in middle position, and Kenny Tran three-bet to 3,000 on the button. The player in the big blind put out a rainbow variety of chips in the 4,000 range, and the dealer wasn't sure if it was a raise or a call.

The floor was called, and a tournament staff member came sprinting over from the Mothership into the Purple Section to sort it out. Upon arrival, they ruled that it would be a min-raise to 5,200, and the action folded back to Tran, who called.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the player led out for 6,000. Tran quickly folded.

From the button, Ole Schemion raised to 600 and the big blind defended with a call. The big blind then check-called a 1,100 bet on the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts} flop. On the {J-Diamonds} turn, both players checked.

The river brought the {6-Clubs} into play and the big blind checked to Schemion once more. Schemion bet 2,100 and was quickly called.

Schemion turned over {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and the big blind showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for a worse two pair.

Boatman Cracks Aces

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Barny Boatman called a preflop raise and the two players went to a flop of {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

His opponent bet 3,500 and Boatman raised to 8,500. A four-bet from his opponent saw Boatman move all in and get a call.

Boatman had {9-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for flopped top set and his opponent showed {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Clubs}.

It wasn’t quite a double up as Boatman had him covered but it was a big pot nonetheless.
