Yunis Bluffs With Jack High

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Yunis tries a bluff
Nick Yunis tries a bluff

Jing Wang checked to Nick Yunis on a completed board of {5-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and he fired out a bet of 121,000 - roughly a third of the pot.

Wang tanked for several minutes until the clock was call on him, and he eventually announced a call. Yunis was hesitant to show his hand, signaling that Wang was good, but Wang wanted to see.

Yunis begrudgingly tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for jack high, and Wang turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. The former fell to 162,000 chips, while the latter is up to 1.3 million.

Mapp Busts Barausova

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Bobby Mapp, who got into this event after his ten grandchildren each pitched in $1,000 toward the buy-in, limped under the gun and inspired Martin Jacobson and Austin Buchanan to do the same from the cutoff and button respectively. Tatiana Barausova then shoved her stack of 75,000 from the small blind, and Mapp thought for a bit before making the call. Jacobson and Buchanan both folded and the cards were turned up.

Mapp: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Barausova: {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Barausova had some kicker problems, and they didn't get resolved on the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. The {6-Spades} turn was kind to her as it gave her an open-ended straight draw, but it didn't come in as the {J-Diamonds} blanked on the river. Mapp was pushed the pot while Barausova failed to make it to the dinner break.

Ruberto Bluffs Some Off

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Tony Ruberto bet about 125,000 on a flop of {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Spades}, almost enough to put Jason Riesenberg all in. Riesenberg slid his two tall towers of chips in, and Ruberto called.

Ruberto: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Riesenberg: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Riesenberg was in total command, as Ruberto needed runner-runner. The {q-Diamonds} gave him hope if he could snag another lady, but the {10-Diamonds} was a brick on the river.

Bardah's Run Ends

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Ronnie Bardah made history earlier with his fifth consecutive Main Event cash, but his 2014 WSOP is now over.

As told to us by Cristian Rotondo, Bardah got his last 100,000-ish in with {K-}{K-} against Rotondo's {A-}{K-}, but the best hand failed to hold up, ending Bardah's Main Event run in 475th place for $25,756.

Simpson Stays Alive

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ian Simpson just ended up all in for his tournament life and he was up against Tony Hoang.

Simpson: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Hoang: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} and Simpson found a way to say to stay alive.

Ivey Loses Another

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After losing a 350,000-chip flip to Bruno Politano earlier in the level, Phil Ivey just lost more to Politano and is now below 400,000 for the first time today.

Politano opened to 14,000 from the hijack and Ivey three-bet to 45,000 from directly behind. Action folded back to Politano, who sat still for a minute before four-betting to 127,000. Ivey quickly released, and Politano climbed above the 400K mark.

Finstein Continues to Roll; Eliminates Tehan to Chip Up to 2 Million

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After taking over the chip lead, the ESPN cameras found Michael Finstein, and did so just in time to see him eliminate Lisa Tehan and chip up to two million.

The exact action escaped us, but we do know Tehan got the last of her chips all in on the turn with a board reading {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}. She held straight and flush draws with the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but they were nullified as Finstein had her drawing dead with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a turned full house. The meaningless {7-Diamonds} was put out on the river for good measure, and then Tehan made her way to the payout desk.

A Fairly Ridiculous Runout

Nivel 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Brian Hastings
Brian Hastings

Brian Hastings checked to Jeremy Jagoda on a flop of {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, and he tossed out 20,000. Hastings check-min-raised to 40,000, Jagoda called, and the turn was the {k-Spades}.

Hastings led out for another 40,000, Jagoda called, and the {k-Diamonds} completed the board.

"All in," Hastings said.

"I call," Jagoda shrugged.

Hastings turned over {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a flopped full house, and Jagoda showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for a turned full house. Both players made the exact same full house on the river, and chopped the pot.

"Wow," John Juanda said. "Lucky."
