Keranen Five-Bets Waxman

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

From middle position, Matt Waxman opened to 100,000 only to have Kyle Keranen three-bet to 350,000 from the small blind.

With the action back on Waxman, he raised to 700,000 only to have Keranen shove all in to put Waxman at risk for his last 2,080,000.

After a few minutes deliberating, Waxman released his hand to the muck and Keranen scooped the pot to climb to 9,225,000 in chips.

Chad Eveslage Eliminated in 66th Place ($103,025)

Chad Eveslage - 66th place
Chad Eveslage - 66th place

Chad Eveslage shoved all in for about 675,000 in the big blind over an open to 105,000 from William Tonking in middle position. Tonking called.

Tonking: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Eveslage: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Eveslage found some improvement on the {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop with a pair of tens but he needed more. The {3-Spades} turn was a blank, as was the {5-Clubs} river.

Seven Bennett Eliminated in 67th Place ($103,025)

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Steven Bennett - 67th Place
Steven Bennett - 67th Place

Sean Dempsey raised to 125,000 in the small blind and Steven Bennett called from the big blind.

The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Dempsey continued for 125,000. Bennett called, the {7-Clubs} turn fell and Dempsey bet 250,000. Bennett called again to see the {J-Hearts} river where Dempsey bet effectively 790,000. Bennett mulled it over for about 20 seconds before calling for his tournament life with {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but it was second best to Dempsey's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for queens full of jacks.

Hastings Shoves on Weber

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Brian Hastings raised to 115,000 form middle position only to have Jason Weber three-bet to 265,000 from the small blind. Hastings made the call, the flop came down {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and Weber continued for 330,000. Hastings thought for about a minute before moving all in, and it did the trick as Weber released his hand.

Newhouse Crosses Six Million

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Newhouse was in the cutoff and he cut out a raise to 100,000. William Cole called from the button it folded over to Christopher Greaves in the big blind. He moved forward a three-bet to 350,000, putting action back on Newhouse. The 2013 November Niner would not be swayed, however, as he cut out a four-bet to 1.005 million. Cole let his cards go, putting action back on Greaves.

Greaves thought for about 20 seconds before kicking his cards into the muck. Newhouse took down the pot and has once again worked his stack over six million in chips.

Tony Ruberto Eliminated in 68th Place ($103,025)

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tony Ruberto
Tony Ruberto

It appeared Adam Lamphere opened with a raise from the under-the-gun position and Tony Ruberto three-bet jammed for 680,000 from middle position. Action folded back to Lamphere and he called.

Lamphere: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Ruberto: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Ruberto had found a pocket pair, but it was second best to Lamphere's ladies. The {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Ruberto some backdoor straight options, but the {K-Diamonds} turn took them away. Ruberto needed an eight and an eight only on the river to keep his 2014 WSOP Main Event hopes alive, but it was not meant to be as the {3-Spades} blanked on the river.

Ruberto exited in 68th place for $103,025 while Lamphere, who began the day as the third shortest stack with 470,000 chipped up to 2.29 million.

One For Newhouse

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Clayton Maguire opened the cutoff to 100,000 and found calls from Mark Newhouse in the small blind and William Cole in the big blind. The flop came {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and action checked to the raiser. Maguire came out firing for 175,000 and Newhouse called. Cole kicked his cards in, allowing the remaining two players to see the {10-Spades} hit the turn.

Newhouse checked for a second time, prompting Clayton to move 350,000 into the middle of the table. Newhouse came over the top with a check-raise to an unknown amount and Clayton instantly let go of his hand. Newhouse took down the pot and now has about 5.525 million in chips.

Top Pair for Baron

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

On a flop of {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, Peter Placey bet out 350,000 from the button and Isaac Baron check-called from under the gun as Nathan Goldstein check-folded to see the {3-Spades} land on the turn.

Both players checked, and when the {2-Clubs} landed on the river, they checked again.

Baron tabled his {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for top pair, as Placey flashed his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and mucked.

Ruberto's in Trouble

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The board read {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} when Tony Ruberto bet 300,000 when we picked up the action. Jason Johnson went into the tank for a bit before he announced an all-in raise.

Ruberto sighed deeply and tanked for two minutes before he ultimately let go of his hand.

Johnson raked in the pot and he's now up to around four million chips while Ruberto's having a very bad level.

Waxman Takes One from the Chip Leader

Nivel 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

From the hijack, Kyle Keranen raised to 110,000 and Matt Waxman defended his big blind to see a {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop fall.

Waxman check-called a Keranen bet of 85,000 as the turn of the {7-Clubs} went check, check.

The river landed the {5-Spades} and Waxman bet out 220,000 with Keranen quickly folding.
