Antonio Menga went all-in from middle position with 8♠8♥, putting in a hefty 3,300,000. Przemyslaw Szymanski, holding K♥K♣ and just 400,000 behind, made the call.
The flop was a nightmare for Menga, bringing A♣5♣K♠ and giving Szymanski a set right off the bat, leaving Menga with little hope.
The turn revealed the A♥, improving Szymanski’s hand to a full house. With no outs remaining for Menga, Szymanski secured the double up.

Przemyslaw Szymanski raised to 650,000 in the cutoff with J♠J♥, being called by Daniel Trunk on the button, who had A♣10♥. Szymanski continued for 750,000 on the A♥5♠10♠ flop, just being called by Trunk's two pair.
The 9♠ turn gave Szymanski a flush draw, prompting him to bet an additional 1,150,000. Trunk eyed Szymanski's remaining chips and then put his opponent all-in for 4,050,000 total.
Again, Szymanski quickly let go of his cards as he surrendered another pot to the chipleader.
Przemyslaw Szymanski raised his button to 650,000 with 8♠8♣. Chipleader Daniel Trunk sat in the small blind and moved all in with 7♥7♣.
A visibly distraught Szymanski weighed his options for just a bit before folding the dominating hand, sending more chips Trunk's way.
The nine players are back in their seats, the deck has been shuffled, and the cards are in the air.

The nine remaining players have been sent on a 20-minute break while the preparations for the final table are being made.
Daniel Trunk moved in from the cutoff, covering the rest of the remaining players. Daniel Kschammer sat in the small blind and mulled things over for a good while before making the call for 6,150,000.
Daniel Kschammer: 10♠10♥
Daniel Trunk: 4♦4♣
Kschammer looked poised to get a huge double-up, although the J♦A♦5♦ flop did bring Trunk a flush draw.
The A♣ turn did nothing for either player, but the 9♦ river saw Trunk make his flush to eliminate Kschammer in brutal fashion.
Kschammer took his leave in 10th place, becoming the final table bubble.
Viorel Gavrila pulled off a remarkable feat, racking up three pots in a row without anyone showing their cards. In no time at all, he climbed up to the top of the chip counts in the tournament. His sharp instincts and bold moves paid off, making him a player to watch as he quickly established himself as a serious contender in the tournament.
Antonio Menga limped in from the small blind and Daniel Kschammer checked his option in the big blind.
The 7♠9♥9♦ flop went check-check before the A♥ turn saw Menga check-call the 450,000 bet of Kschammer.
The 7♥ river completed the board. Menga checked, after which Kschammer jammed all in for 2,175,000, a slight over-bet.
Menga asked for a count, thought it over for a bit, and then made the call. Kschammer tabled 9♣4♦ for a rivered full house, beating the 10♥6♥ of Menga, who had called off with a flush.
