Kenjic's Honest Royal Flush

Nivel 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jovan Kenjic

Jessica Teusl kicked things off with a raise to 4,000 from middle position, and Jovan Kenjic in the small blind called.

On the flop of K42, Teusl continued with a bet of 3,000, which Kenjic check-called.

Both players checked when the Q hit on the turn.

Then came the J on the river. Kenjic looked at Teusl and said,"I’ll be honest, I have a straight flush."
After a quick glance at his cards, he corrected himself: "No, a royal flush. If I bet, will you call?" Teusl replied, "I’ll pay."

Kenjic led out with a small bet of 2,000, and Teusl honored her word by calling.

When Kenjic revealed A10, he wasn't lying—he indeed had a royal flush. Teusl chuckled, saying, "Good thing you corrected yourself because I had the nine of clubs and wouldn’t have believed you and get myself in trouble"
