Jacob Amsellem made it 25,000 from the small blind and Pawel Zawadowicz called out of the big blind.
On the flop of J♣8♣6♦, Amsellem continued with a bet of 25,000, and Zawadowicz made it 80,000. Amsellem then shoved, and Zawadowicz called for his stack of 217,000.
Pawel Zawadowicz: 10♣6♣
Jacob Amsellem: J♠7♣
Zawadowicz had a pair plus a flush draw and didn't need to wait long to connect as he improved to a flush on the 4♣ turn. There was no card in the deck that could save Amsellem, as he watched a meaningless 2♥ fill out the board.
Ran Shahar and Marek Kopec went to the turn with the board showing Q♣6♦8♣8♠ where Shahar bet 40,000 from middle position. Kopec then raised to 100,000 in the big blind.
Shahar came back with an all-in shove and Kopec snap-called for 180,000, turning over 6♥6♠ for a full house. Shahar could only show K♦Q♠ for two pair, but the Q♦ fell on the river to give him a better two pair and send Kopec to the rail.
Marius Schneider and Ron Jeda were heads-up on a flop of 10♥9♠9♥ where Schneider bet 16,000 from the hijack. Jeda then moved all in from the small blind and Schneider took a peek at the tournament clock before calling for 136,000.
Marius Schneider: J♣J♥
Ron Jeda: J♦8♣
Schneider was ahead with two pair, while Jeda was on a straight draw. The K♣ turn was safe for Schneider, while the A♥ river secured him a double up.
"Easy call. Very well played. Especially on the river. I see no mistakes," Martin Kabrhel told Schneider after the hand.
Nolan Curatolo raised to 20,000 from the hijack and Yassmine Abdallaoui called out of the big blind.
They saw a flop of 6♦8♠9♠ where Abdallaoui checked, and Curatolo continued foe 30,000. Abdallaoui then shoved for around 95,000, and Curatolo snap-called.
Yassmine Abdallaoui: 6♥5♥
Nolan Curatolo: 9♣7♣
Abdallaoui was in a spot of bother, but pulled a rabbit out of the hat as the improved to a straight on the K♠7♦ runout, which kept her alive in the tournament.
Ion Bonciu moved all in from under the gun for 57,000. Krasimir Krastev reraised all in for 64,500. Sergiu Covrig then moved all in and had both players covered.
Ion Bonciu: A♦3♦
Krasimir Krastev: J♠J♦
Sergiu Covrig: A♥K♦
Krastev flopped best on the 2♣5♠J♥ flop as he made top set. He held across the A♠ turn and K♠ river to scoop the pot.
Martin Kabrhel raised from under the gun to 16,000 and Tiberiu Tirca called in the cutoff. Marius Schneider also came along from the big blind.
They went to a flop of 3♦7♥8♥ where Schneider checked, Kabrhel bet 33,000, Tirca called, and Schneider folded.
An 8♠ on the turn drew a check out of Kabrhel, then Tirca fired a small bet of 16,000. Kabrhel called.
When the 6♣ landed on the river, Kabrhel checked it over again, then Tirca took a while before he double-handedly slid out a bet of 150,000. Kabrhel quickly asked for a count but folded soon thereafter.
"Pocket sevens? Tell me you had pocket sevens." asked Kabrhel to Tirca.
"Yes, I had exactly pocket sevens," replied Tirca in a sarcastic way.
Jacob Amsellem and Roman Luft went heads-up from the blinds to a flop of 9♣8♣2♥ where Amsellem led out for 25,000. Luft asked the dealer how much time he was allowed to take before eventually moving all in for 180,000 after around two minutes. Amsellem snap-called.
Roman Luft: 8♥5♣
Jacob Amsellem: 10♦10♣
Amsellem was ahead with a pair of tens against Luft's pair of eights as the turn came the 3♣. The river was the K♥ and Amsellem added to his massive chip lead with an early bustout on Day 2.
