Jakub Sterba opened from middle position to 32,000 and Marius Brinceanu three-bet the button to 80,000 before Iman Ghashayar four-bet the big blind to 255,000. Sterba folded, and after three minutes, Brinceanu called.

They went to a flop of 3J2 where Ghashayar continued for 170,000. Brinceanu, after a long tank preflop, also went into deep thought on the flop and called after around two minutes.

A K landed on the turn and Ghashayar slowed down with a check, then Brinceanu bet 75,000. Ghashayar called.

When the 4 completed the board, Ghashayar checked once again, then Brinceanu grabbed chips and bet 175,000. Ghashayar shrugged his shoulders and somewhat reluctantly tossed in the call.

Brinceanu showed 86 for just eight-high, and Ghashayar tabled the winner with QQ for a pair of queens.

Valentin Havasy kicked off the action with a raise to 32,000 from the hijack, and Emil Bise, sitting in the big blind, made the call.

Even before the dealer revealed the flop of J9J, Bise quickly checked, leaving it to Havasy to take the lead. Havasy bet 30,000, and Bise called without hesitation.

Both players opted to check when the 5 hit the turn.

On the 10 river, Bise seized control, leading out with a bet of 77,000. Havasy made the call. Bise then revealed KQ for a straight, while Havasy could only show QxQx, settling for two pair.

Meli Trusts His Gut

Nivel 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

With about 137,000 in the pot and the flop showing 2QQ, Ivan Sestina checked first to act. Vincent Meli followed suit, and Volodymyr Pashchetnyk seized the opportunity, betting 50,000. Meli was the only one to call.

On the J turn, Meli checked again, and Pashchetnyk bet 125,000. Meli, steady, called.

The river brought the 5, and once more, Meli checked. Pashchetnyk applied maximum pressure with a 225,000 bet, putting Meli all-in. Meli took his time, carefully counting his chips before making the call, revealing AK. Pashchetnyk turned over AK, and the two split the pot. Meli breathed a sigh of relief, staying in the tournament.
