The Casino Gran Via in the heart of the Spanish capital will be full today when Day 1c of the €888 888poker Live Madrid Main Event begins at 3 p.m. local time.
The first two starting flights saw a total of 145 entries, with 66 advancing to Day 2. Alejandro Perez is the massive chip leader with 380,000, followed by Alexander Stevic (249,500), Borja Diaz (231,000), defending champion Manuel Ledesma (222,000), and Carlos Perez-Dosio (217,000).

Players on Day 1c begin with a 50,000 starting stack and will play 11 40-minute levels. There is a 15-minute break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9 which should come around 9:30 p.m. Unlimited reentries are allowed, with late registration open until the start of Day 2.
This is the third of four starting flights. The turbo Day 1d flight begins tomorrow at 1 p.m. with 20-minute levels. All survivors then combine for Day 2 at 5 p.m.

Mauceri then bet 700 and the button called once more. Both players checked the 8♠ river and Mauceri turned over 5♥3♥ for two pair to win the pot.
The next hand, three players saw a flop of 7♠K♠Q♠ where the button bet 1,000. Only Mauceri called in the small blind.
Both players checked the 4♠ turn and the 3♥ fell on the river. Mauceri then bet 1,000 and his opponent called.
Mauceri turned over 6♠6♣ for a flush and his opponent mucked.

A player in the big blind led out for 300 on a flop of 7♦6♣4♦ and the hijack called, as did Florinel Mutu on the button.
The turn was the 4♥ and the big blind bet another 300. The hijack again called, but Mutu this time raised to 600. Both opponents called.
Action checked to Mutu on the 4♠ river and he bet 600. Both opponents quickly folded and Mutu showed the 4♣ for quads as he took the pot.

Four players each put in 900 as they went to a flop of 10♠6♠10♥. The small blind then bet 1,200 and only Adrian Rivero called in the cutoff.
The turn was the 8♦ and the small blind bet another 2,500. Rivero again called and the 9♠ fell on the river.
The small blind then bet 7,500, but this time Rivero came back with a raise to 25,000. His opponent took a minute but eventually folded as Rivero took the pot.
The field has already grown to 76 entries so far on the first level of the day.

The river was the 2♥ and Shahrtash led out for 7,700. His opponent called and Shahrtash turned over 10♥2♦ for a rivered full house. His opponent let out a sigh and flashed the 10♠ before mucking.
