Drumond Sends Neves Deep Into the Tank

Drumond continued for 300,000 and Neves called. Both players then checked the Q♦ turn and the J♣ fell on the river.

Drumond resumed betting, putting out 600,000 as Neves went deep into the tank. He ended up using four time banks and taking more than two minutes before folding.

Gustavo Neves raised to 100,000 on the button and was called by Paulo Goncalves and William Fernandes in the blinds.

"Party time," Goncalves blurted out, playing his first hand in what felt like forever.

The flop fell K♦3♠3♥ and the action checked around to the A♣ on the turn. Goncalves led out with a bet of 150,000 which got Fernandes to fold but Neves quickly called.

The river was the Q♠ and Goncalves rolled in a bet of 375,000 with the chips going everywhere. Neves flicked in a single chip and Goncalves spun his cards to the muck, sending the pot to Neves without having to show.

Vieira gave it some thought but decided to check it back. Torres tabled K♣Q♠ for the nut flush while Vieira flashed the Q♣ before his cards hit the muck.

Drumond announced another bet of around 1,500,000 on the A♦ river and Mota snap-folded, tossing in his rabbit hunt card. Drumond showed 10♣9♣ for a full house as he took the big pot.

The flop came J♥5♦4♦ and Coelho led out with a bet of 400,000. Mota called and the 10♠ rolled off on the turn. Coelho checked this time and Mota jammed all in for just over 3,000,000. Coelho shrugged and dropped in some chips to call, creating the largest pot of the tournament thus far.

Coelho was the favorite with pocket kings but Mota had a straight and flush draw to hit. The river was the 9♣ and Mota completed his straight as he celebrated with a fist pump. After the chips were counted, it was determined that Coelho was the player at risk for around 2,900,000.
