Quoss Can't Win

Nivel 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Fabian Quoss opened to 4,000 from early position, Gautam Sabharwal called in the small blind, and Dimitar Danchev called out of the big blind. The dealer fanned {j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, and the action checked to Quoss, who continued for 3,500. Sabharwal check-raised to 7,000, and only Quoss called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs}, Sabharwal checked, and Quoss tossed out 12,000. Sabharwal instantly called.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, and both players knuckled.

"I can't win," Quoss announced.

Sabharwal showed {a-Hearts}{6-Spades} for trip aces, and took down the pot.

Kitai Takes Back from Volpe

Nivel 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe and Davidi Kitai have tangled once again over on Table 2, and this time, Kitai got the best of Volpe.

The two were heads up on a board of {3-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} when Volpe check-called a bet of 8,500. The river was the {a-Spades}, Volpe led for 19,200, and Kitai quickly called.

Volpe turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of aces, but they were no good against Kitai's {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for two-pair.

When we arrived at Table 5, Mark Teltscher was all in and at risk holding {a-Spades}{6-Spades} against Tobias Reinkemeier, who was well ahead with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

The board came {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, and Teltscher was eliminated.

Suffering a Shak-down

Nivel 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A double up for Andrey Bondar, flipping {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} against Dan Shak's {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} with the board coming {4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} - the river rubbing salt in the wound.

Danchev Flips Well Again...

Nivel 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Gautam Sabharwal opened to 3,500 preflop and Dimitar Danchev three-bet next to him to 8,600. It was passed to Juha Lauttamus in the big blind who moved all in for 36,300.

Sabharwal folded, Danchev asked for a count then made the call.

Lauttamus: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Danchev: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Sanharwal looked annoyed, even more so when an ace came on the flop but the board ran out {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} then of course, the {J-Spades} on the turn to give the Finn a set but Danchev the nut straight. The {6-Spades} river changed nothing and Danchev increased his chip lead.

Scott Seiver laconically said, "Obvious run-out is obvious..."
