Ashelm Chipping Up

Nivel 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Robert Ashelm opened 2,400 in early position and only Sami Abrissa made the call from the cutoff.

When the Q83 flop hit the felt, Ashelm checked to Abrissa who fired 2,500 into the middle. Ashelm responded with a check-raise to 6,500, putting Abrissa to a decision. After about 20 seconds, he tossed his cards into the muck and the dealer shipped the pot toward Ashelm.

Idris Flops a Set to Score Double Knockout

Nivel 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Rayane Idris opened 2,300 from early position and Ahmad Niazi jammed for about 28,000 next to act. The action folded around to Simone Reda in the small blind as he called off his last 9,500, and Idris made the call as well, putting both players at risk.

Simone Reda: AQ All in
Ahmad Niazi: 66 All in
Rayane Idris: 88

The J87 flop gave Idris a set of eights, leaving both of his oppoents drawing thin as the dealer completed the board with the Q turn, and the 10 river.

Lauri Gets Punished For Making the Right Call

Nivel 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action was caught with the flop of QQ8 showing with around 30,000 in the middle. Edoardo Lauri checked from the big blind and Alfredo Versace shoved for roughly 36,000 from the button. Lauri thought it over before flicking in the call for almost all of his chips.

Alfredo Versace: A7 All in
Edoardo Lauri: 33

Versace had a lot of outs to stay alive. However, the 9 turn meant he was one card away from elimination. The 5 appeared on the river to improve Versace to a flush, earning him the double up while leaving Lauri with crumbs.

River Nine Saves Moallem

Nivel 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Moallem opened to 2,500 from under the gun and Pascal Lumbruso called in the small blind before Rafael Golka jammed for 22,000 from the big blind. Moallem tanked for some time before he decided to call off his remaining 19,600 while Lumbroso got out of the way.

Daniel Moallem: A9 All in
Rafael Golka: QQ

The J96 river was a beautiful one for Moallem as he picked up a pair and a flush draw. However, he did not improve on the J turn. Golka remained in the lead until the dealer peeled the 9 on the river to improve Moallem to a full house as he crippled Golka.

Birchall Virtually Triples With Big Slick

Nivel 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Niek Minten shoved for roughly 9,000 from the cutoff. Richard Birchall followed suit and shoved himself for 11,000 from the button. Samir Benabdelaziz made the call from the big blind with the covering stack and had the chance to eliminate two players.

Niek Minten: J10 All in
Richard Birchall: AK All in
Samir Benabdelaziz: AQ

The K58 flop was delightful for Birchall as he paired his king to take a commanding lead. The 10 on the turn gave some addition outs to Minten and Benabdelaziz. However, the A on the river improved Birchall to two pair and he had virtually tripled up.
