The remaining 557 players have been sent on a 25-minute break.
Jim Collopy opened to 20,000 from early position and found three callers to a flop of K♠10♦4♣.
Following checks from the blinds, he continued for 23,000 and only got a call from Antonino Mammone in the hijack.
On the 9♠ turn, Collopy now checked, and Mammone bet 75,000.
Before calling though, Collopy inquired about the size of the pot, thinking that Mammone had pulled his bet back preflop before it went into the pot.
The pot was checked and it was confirmed that Mammone did indeed still owe his 20,000. Mammone tossed in those chips, and then Collopy made the turn call.
The river 7♦ completed the board and Collopy checked a final time. Mammone now placed a bet of 150,000, which sent Collopy into the tank.
After a couple of minutes of thought, he called to see Mammone's A♠10♠ for a pair of tens.
Collopy revealed K♣J♥ for a winning pair of kings to take a sizeable pot before break.

Cards were on their backs with Jose Nadal in middle position seemingly on the verge of doubling up Adi Alkalay who had about 150,000 under the gun, but there were still five cards to come.
Adi Alkalay: A♦A♥
Jose Nadal: J♦J♥
The flop immediately brought Nadal the help he needed, falling J♣8♥3♦, giving him a leading set of jacks.
The board completed Q♣2♥, failing to bring Alkalay one of the two remaining outs he needed to survive, as Nadal continued to grow one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Dara O'Kearney was already all in and at risk from the hijack against Amir Mansouri, who had O'Kearney covered in the big blind.
Dara O'Kearney: Ax6x
Amir Mansouri: JxJx
The 9♦2♠3♣ flop was of little help to O'Kearney, but the 5♥ turn gave him gutshot outs along with his ace.
The 4♣ river filled O'Kearney's straight draw and he scored the double up to keep his main event run alive.

Carlos Saez raised to 20,000 under the gun before Minh Thang Ngo three-bet to 60,000 in early position. Saez moved all in for 278,000 and Ngo tanked for a minute before calling.
Carlos Saez: A♥K♠
Minh Thang Ngo: Q♠Q♥
It was a classic race situation as the flop came J♦9♦2♥. Ngo's queens stayed in the lead on the J♠ turn, while the Q♣ river improved him to a full house as Saez shot back in his seat. The stacks were counted down and Ngo had Saez barely covered, sending him to the rail.

Diego Fernandes: 10♥7♥
Marle Spragg: K♠Q♠

Benito Tiagonce bet 50,000 from the small blind on a flop of Q♥6♠4♠ before Paul Covaciu moved all in for 200,000 in middle position. Tiagonce called.
Paul Covaciu: A♠10♠
Benito Tiagonce: 6♣6♦
Covaciu had the nut flush draw and needed to improve against Tiagonce's flopped set. The 8♣ turn was no help, while the 5♣ river kept Tiagonce in the lead and sent Covaciu to the rail.
