Hendricks Rivered Again to Bust

Nivel 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Lance Hendricks raised to 130,000 with 10,000 behind from the cutoff and Jared Jaffee called on the button.

On the KQ7 flop, Hendricks bet his last 10,000 and Jaffee called.

Lance Hendricks: 44 All in
Jared Jaffee: AJ

Hendricks was still ahead with his pocket pair but Jaffee had two overs and a gutshot. The 2 on the turn was safe for Hendricks until the A landed on the river as Barry Greenstein was conjured to bust Hendricks, who was rivered in back-to-back coinflips on his way to the exit.

Matt Affleck
Matt Affleck

Matt Affleck opened to 20,000 in middle position and Kitty Kuo three-bet in the small blind. Affleck four-bet jammed a stack of around 150,000 and Kuo quickly called.

Matt Affleck: KK All in
Kitty Kuo: AK

Affleck, who famously had aces cracked by Jonathan Duhamel deep in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, braced for disaster as the board ran out J4776 to earn him a double.

"You can tell who at this table has PTSD and who doesn't," commented Brock Wilson.

Victor Paredes

Byung Shin and Yang Li went to a flop of J109 where Shin moved all in for 76,000 from the big blind. Li snap-called in early position.

Byung Shin: K5 All in
Yang Li: JJ

Li showed down top set, while Shin had straight and flush draws. The Q turn completed both of his draws to give him the lead, while the river was the A and Shin doubled up.

At the same time at another table, Justin Lapka and Victor Paredes built a pot of around 120,000 in a blind versus blind battle to the river on a board of J75104. Lapka then bet 190,000 from the big blind.

Paredes took a few minutes before calling with J4 for two pair, and Lapka flashed just ace-high as Paredes took down the big pot.

"Nitroll," Lapka joked with Paredes after the hand.

Johnson Picks Off Perrier's Bluff

Nivel 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel Perrier opened to 21,000 from middle position and was called by Marco Johnson on the button and Brian Yoon in the big blind.

On the 1092 flop, the action checked to Johnson who bet 42,000 and only Perrier called.

The 8 turn checked through to the 4 river which saw Perrier lead for 120,000, just over three-quarters pot. Johnson deliberated for a while and used a time bank before he tossed in the call.

Daniel Perrier: KQ
Marco Johnson: 77

Perrier was bluffing while Johnson made an impressive call with effectively fourth pair to drag a sizeable pot.
