Vanier Gets One Through Against Micka

Mike Vanier opened the button the 80,000 with A2 before Joel Micka three-bet to 260,000 from the small blind with AQ and Vanier put in the call.

On the 10108 flop, Micka continued for 150,000 and Vanier put in the call.

The 5 turn checked through to the 7 river which saw Micka check again. Vanier then announced a bet of 500,000 with just 185,000 behind. Micka did not take long before he let it go as Vanier's bluff got through.

Hart checked on the flop of 329 and Johnson continued for 80,000. Hart called. Hart checked again on the 4 turn and Johnson moved all in. Hart folded to hold onto his remaining stack of around 500,000.

Konnikova Makes the Right Fold

Maria Konnikova limped the small blind with A9 and Brock Wilson checked his option in the big blind with 53.

On the A53 flop, Konnikova led for 40,000 before Wilson raised to 125,000, and Konnikova put in the call.

The turn brought the 5. Wilson did not slow down as he barreled for 250,000, but Konnikova was able to make the correct fold against Wilson's full house.

Affleck Picking on Paredes

A few hands later, Paredes opened to 80,000 in the cutoff and Affleck called in the big blind.

The flop came J93 and Paredes bet 80,000. Affleck then raised to 250,000 and Paredes again gave up his hand.

Yokosawa Raises Affleck on the River

Matt Affleck limped in from the small blind and Masato Yokosawa raised to 80,000 in the big blind. Affleck called and they saw a flop of 10107.

Yokosawa continued for 85,000 and Affleck called. The turn was the 5 and Yokosawa bet another 185,000. Affleck again called and the 7 fell on the river.

Affleck then led out for 210,000 and Yokosawa used two time banks before raising to 875,000. Affleck quickly folded.

On the Q83 flop, Micka continued for 75,000 and Vanier put in the call.

Vanier made a flush on the 6 turn as the action went check-check.

The A river saw Vanier check for a third time. Micka did not take long before he made a smart check-back to limit the damage as Vanier flipped over his flush.

David Prociak Wins $550 Cardplayer Lifestyle H.E.R.O.S.

On Thursday night, Event #23: $550 Cardplayer Lifestyle H.E.R.O.S. attracted 108 entries and awarded a $51,840 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 15 finishers including Scott Fitzhugh (13th - $1,050), Allyn Shulman (10th - $1,260), and Ari Engel (9th - $1,510), who was also busy winning his fourth World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in an online event.

The final table had some familiar faces such as Jackson Traub (5th - $3,690) and Matthew Schultz (4th - $4,800), and in the end the final three stuck and ICM deal that saw was poker pro David Prociak take home $10,100 in prize money and the Spadie trophy.

It was another win on Prociak’s impressive poker resumé which is comprised of three WSOP bracelets, two Circuit rings, two RGPS rings, both PGT and SHRPO titles, and includes over $2.5 million in earnings according to the Hendon Mob.
