Kelly Chips Up

Nivel 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

J.P Kelly won a small pot when a player from the button raised to 450 preflop and he and the player from the big blind called.

The flop ran out {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Kelly checked, the player in the big blind checked, and the player from the button bet 650. Kelly raised to 1,700 and both his opponents folded. He sits with around 8,500 in chips.

Good Flop, Awful Turn, Amazing River

We found David Pham putting a player all in on a flop of {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, the player quickly called and cards were tabled.

Pham: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent: {J-}{J-}

The turn was bad news for Pham as it was the {J-Hearts}, giving his opponent a set of jacks. Pham still had some outs though he could hit a queen or any heart and he could still win the pot. The river {4-Hearts} was indeed one of the cards Pham needed and helped him deliver the knock out blow to his opponent.

Gruneberg Doubles Through Crane

Zach Gruneberg was all in on the {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and called by Russell Crane. Crane had bet and Gruneberg shoved over the top. Crane tanked for a minute or two before making the call.

Crane: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Gruneberg: {J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the river the {J-Diamonds}, giving Gruneberg a full house and doubling him up.

Merwick Bests Chidwick with a Flush

Enjoy that massage, Joel
Enjoy that massage, Joel

From middle position, Joel Merwick raised to 475. Action folded around to Stephen Chidwick in the small blind and he made the call. The player in the big blind also called the raise and three players went to the flop.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} with both straight and flush draws present. Chidwick and the big blind checked before Merwick, the preflop raiser, fired a continuation bet worth 675. Chidwick made the call and the big blind folded.

Fourth street was the {9-Hearts} and brought in the flush draw. Both players checked to see a fourth heart come on the river with the {8-Hearts}. Chidwick checked and then Merwick fired 850. Chidwick thought it over before making the call, tossing out a single yellow T,100 chip.

Merwick turned over the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a flush, jack high. Chidwick mucked his hand and Merwick was pushed the pot to pick up some chips.

Tim West on the Rise

Tim West raised from early position making it 425 to any one who wanted to see a flop. West's only taker was the player in the cut off and they were off to a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. West then check-called a bet of 625 from his opponent.

The turn brought with it an appearance by the {6-Clubs} and checks from both players. A {J-Diamonds} on the river allowed for West to bet out for the first time since the action preflop, and shoved 2,500 in chips to the middle. He was quickly called by the cut off.

West: {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Cut Off: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

West hit a sixes full of fours full house on the turn which was easily better than his opponents fours over sixes full boat.
