Prendiville Has the Luck of the Irish

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

"Wow! That is sick!" was the cry from one of the players on table Blue #11 so we naturally hurried over to see what the commotion was about.

When we arrived at the table, the first thing we saw was William Burford stood away from the table with a look of pure disgust on his face. Upon further investigation we discovered Burford was all-in with pocket kings against a pair of tens for Ireland's Sean Prendiville only for the latter to flop quads!

Burford busted a couple of players short of the money having finished ninth in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed event a couple of day ago.

Holsonback Quadruples Up

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Four-way all-in pots seem to be the norm inside the Brasilia room today. Another one has just occurred. This time, Olivier Busquet was a casualty and John Holsonback was the beneficiary. All the chips were in the middle preflop and cards were on their backs.

Holsonback: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Busquet: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Button: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned a board reading {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Holsonback had binked the one card to give him the scoop and all the chips were pushed his way.

Saffari Hunting For a Bracelet

Nivel 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

British professional poker player Sebastian Saffari came agonisingly close to winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2013 when he lost heads up to Brandon Wong in Event #50: $2,500 10 Game Mix. He's now looking to make amends for that near miss here in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo where he currently sits behind chips worth 31,500.

Saffari is used to quick structures as he is an online grinder, an online grinder with over $3.3 million in tournament winnings.

Meyers Busts Bardah

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ronnie Bardah opened the preflop betting round with an all-in bet of 9,500 from late position. Brandon Meyers re-raised from the cutoff and the other active players ducked out of the way, leaving Meyers and Bardah's hands to be revealed.

Meyers: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Bardah: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

"Seven of diamonds," said Bardah to the dealer, but he didn't oblige as the flop came down {3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Bardah asked for a club as it would have resulted in a split pot. Again, Bardah's pleas fell on deaf ears and the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Bardah busted and Meyers is up to 39,600.

Niall Farrell was on the same table earlier, but his seat is now empty and it is presumed Farrell busted out recently.

Glantz Wins Huge Flip to Move to Top of Chip Leaders

Nivel 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

Matt Glantz looks to be our new chip leader following a massive coinflip that he says he almost wasn't a part of.

A raise to 1,700 was three-bet to 3,500 by Glantz who was then facing an all-in four-bet of around 32,000. Glantz said he almost folded, but eventually called, showing {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} as he did so. Glantz's "Big Slick" was up against his opponent's {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

The {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop kept the lowly pocket threes ahead and Glantz faced the prospect of losing the vast majority of his stack. The {J-Hearts} on the turn gave Glantz more outs because he could now hit an ace, king, nine, six or heart to win the hand. One of those outs, the {6-Spades} landed on the river to counterfeit the pocket threes and leave Glantz with a huge stack of 70,000.
