Bjorn Li Takes the Chip Lead; Eliminates Tuan Le

Nivel 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

With the board reading {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Tuan Le and Bjorn Li went back and forth before Bjorn reraised all in with a bigger stack. With 29,000 committed postflop and about about 55,000 behind, Tuan called all in.

Tuan: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Bjorn: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

The {10-Spades} turn and {K-Clubs} river were no help to Tuan, giving the massive pot and the chip lead to Bjorn.

Robert Tepper raised to 1,500 in the cutoff, Tom McCormick moved all in for 7,475 out of the small blind, and Mustapha Kanit cold-called in the big blind. Tepper folded, saying he had a "pair under tens."

McCormick: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Kanit: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

McCormick, who's reached more final tables (12) than any other player without a bracelet at the WSOP, was in great shape to double, but the {j-Clubs} poked through the window of the {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn gave McCormick a flush draw to go with his pair and straight outs, but the {5-Hearts} bricked off on the river.

McCormick hit the rail, while Kanit is up to 62,000 chips.

During the last level, Bjorn Li, Tuan Le and a third player took a flop of {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}. The action checked to Li, who tossed out a bet and both of his opponents called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, the action checked to Li again and he bet 5,500. Only Le called.

The river was the {q-Clubs}, Le check-called one last bet worth 11,500 and Li showed {q-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flush draw turned pair of queens.

Li was up to 96,000 chips, while Le slipped to 42,600.
