Givens Doubles Through Gaspard

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the board reading {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and about 75,000 in the pot, Will Givens was all in for 85,300. Jean Gaspard tanked for a good two minutes.

"Man, I know you're bluffing. The question is...do I have the cojones to call you," said Gaspard.

After a little while, Gaspard called.

Gaspard: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Givens: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The {J-Clubs} river fell, no help to Gaspard, giving Givens the double up.

"It shows a lot of respect that you know I'm capable of bluffing there," said Givens.

"Damn nice hand, thought you were bluffing, nice hand," replied Gaspard.

Shortly thereafter, Gaspard opened and called a Givens three-bet to 16,400 to see a {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop. Both checked, the {9-Clubs} hit the turn and Gaspard check-called 11,000 from Givens to see the {2-Hearts} river, which both checked.

Gaspard tabled {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of nines to win the pot

KKaram

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bassil Karam was all in and at risk for less than 10 big blinds with {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}, and Ariel Celestino had him at risk with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The kings held up on a board of {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}, and Karam doubled through to 53,900 chips. Celestino slipped to 108,000.

Huge Pot Alert: Eyster Doubles Through Kenney

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Kevin Eyster
Kevin Eyster

Dani Stern raised to 6,000 and Kevin Eyster called from his immediate left. This sparked a series of calls as Bryn Kenney, Matt Salsberg and Andrea Dato all called as well.

The flop brought out {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Dato and Stern checked to Eyster who bet 16,500. Kenney grabbed a bit more and threw in what looked like 41,500 total. Salsberg, Dato and Stern folded and the action was back on Eyster.

"I'm all in," Eyster announced and Kenney dropped a few chips forward as he made the call.

Eyster: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Kenney: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}, {K-Spades} and Eyster rivered a straight to secure a huge double up. On the flop Eyster was all in for 173,300 and he's now sitting in second place behind Dato, who's also at this table.

Rossiter Doubles Again

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

When we arrived at Table 360, Jeff Rossiter was all in and at risk preflop for 89,000. Mark Darner had what looked like a three-bet in front of him, and opted to call the rest, putting the Aussie at risk.

Rossiter: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Darner: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The two swapped outs on a flop of {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, but neither player was able to make Broadway as the turn and river bricked {4-Diamonds}, {8-Hearts} respectively. Rossiter doubled to 186,000 chips, while Darner fell to 174,000.

Double For Rossiter

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We just caught the end of a Jeff Rossiter double up through [Removed:551]. The board read {10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} when Rossiter had tabled {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and that was enough to beat [Removed:552]'s {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Rossiter's still one of the shorter stacks in the room but with a very decent amount of big blinds.

You'll Never Get This

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

David Borrat and Hunter Frey both checked on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and the turn was a repeat nine - the {9-Hearts}. Borrat fired out 8,000, Frey called, and the river was the {5-Clubs}.

Borrat bet another 12,000 on the river, Frey made the call, and Borrat showed {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for king-high. Frey rolled over {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a pair of aces, and dragged the pot.

And The Table Gets Tougher

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

As we're down to 47 players, on just eight tables, there are many tough ones out there. Byron Kaverman just took the only empty one over on the table listed below, and it sure isn't an easy one.

Grospellier Gone

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Benny Chen raised to 5,200 from the hijack seat, Jean Gaspard three-bet to 12,000 in the cutoff, and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier called all in for 11,000 or so in the big blind. Chen called as well.

Both Chen and Gaspard checked it down as the flop, turn, and river came {j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and Grospellier opened up {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for queens and jacks. Gaspard revealed {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for kings and deuces, however and Grospellier hit the rail.
