Anthony Hallam Eliminated in 27th Place ($8,947)

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Antony Hallam
Antony Hallam

Antony Hallam is the first casualty since the redraw. Hallam and Angela Prada-Moed were all-in, Hallam holding {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Prada-Moed the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

The {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs} gave Hallam outs to a flush, but they failed to materialize when the turn and river came {10-Spades} and {8-Diamonds}.

That hand left Hallam with only 4,500 chips and 3,000 of those were needed to pay the small blind on the next hand.

Loren Klein raised from the button to 12,000, the cutoff, the button folded, Hallam called all-in and Will Givens called in the big blind.

Klein and Givens checked down the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades} board, Klein betting the river and Givens folding.

Klein showed {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a straight, and Hallam showed {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Game over for Hallam.

Tobias Doubles in Little Controversy

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Peter Tobias moved all in for 107,000 from early position and only put a few chips forward. The dealer threw the all in button in front of that and the action folded to Stanislas Le Marchand in the small blind. The Frenchman didn't hear the announcement - or noticed - the all in and put forward three T1000 chips to just limp, expecting to play in a battle of the blinds.

The floorman was called and it was ruled that Le Marchand had to call off the all in.

Le Marchand: {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Tobias: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Tobias doubled up.

Post Doubles, Still Short

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Gabriel Post moved all in for 35,000 and was called by Rob Sciammarella in the big blind with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Post had {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and won the coinflip on the {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades} board.

Pechie Busts to Le Marchand

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

The action folded to Justin Pechie in the small blind and he moved all in for 54,000. Stanislas Le Marchand was the big blind, and after 10 seconds or so of thinking about what to do, called.

Le Marchand: {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Pechie: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Neither player improved on the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Spades} flop, but both hit the {8-Diamonds} turn, Le Marchand pairing his eight and Pechie picking up a diamond flush draw. The {9-Spades} landed on the river and with that, Pechie was eliminated.

Two Shoves Go Uncalled

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

The players at Table 439 have obviously decided to attempt to go big or go home since returning from dinner break and have been pushing all in with great frequency.

First, Peter Tobias moved all in from the cutoff and picked up the blinds and antes. The result was the same for Will Givens, who pushed all in from the button on the next hand, a bet that went uncalled.

Horan Loses Final Flip

Nivel 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

William Spencer Horan was already all in preflop without getting called. This time, Loren Klein raised to 12,000 from early position and Horan was all in for 61,000. Klein thought about it for a good minute and then called.

Horan: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Klein: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Klein took the pot on the river with a pair of jacks.
