Kornuth Chops Down Stout

Nivel 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Matt Stout ran into a monster.
Matt Stout ran into a monster.

Chance Kornuth raised to 11,000 in the cutoff, and Matt Stout reraised to 38,500 on the button. Kornuth repotted after the blinds folded, making it 123,000 total. Stout called, wishing Kornuth good luck as the dealer spread the flop: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Kornuth immediately shoved all in for his last 88,000.

"Brutal," Stout muttered. After a bit he announced a call.

Stout: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Kornuth: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Kornuth had top set, while Stout had backdoor draws and a gutter. The turn brought a {q-Hearts}, harmless to Kornuth but he shot Stout's hand a quick double-take to make sure his opponent hadn't made a straight. A {5-Hearts} river was a blank, and Stout lost the majority of his stack to his neighbor.

Trickett Gets Out of the Kitchen

Nivel 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Sam Trickett opened the action for a raise only to find the big blind, who was somewhat short with only 105,000 in chips behind, raising the pot and setting himself all in. Trickett mulled it over for a bit, looking as if he were going to call at one point, but then shook his head and tossed his cards to the dealer.

His opponent showed him a strong hand, {A-}{A-}{X-}{X-} double suited. "Duh," laughed Isaac Baron.

"Nice hand, I thought about limping but just couldn't do it," said Trickett.

Rybachenko Sending to Opponents

Nivel 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Sergey Rybachenko bet 40,000 on the turn as the board came {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and Marko Neumann made the call after checking. On the {q-Diamonds} river, both players checked. Neumann showed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush, and he took down the pot.

The next hand, Rybachenko opened for a raise and called a three-bet from Matt Stout before check-folding a {2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop.

Kornuth Swats a Fly

Nivel 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

A player on a short stack opened for a raise and pushed all in when Chance Kornuth three-bet.

Kornuth: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Short stack: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-}{3-}

The flop brought help for both: {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, giving Kornuth a set and his opponent aces up. Two deuces hit the board after that, and Kornuth collected the pot.
