Ten Cate then led out for 1,400 and only a player in early position called. Both players then checked the 9♠ turn.

Ten Cate again checked the Q♠ river and his opponent quickly checked back. "The nuts," Ten Cate said, showing A♠J♠ for a flush. His opponent mucked J♦J♥ as Ten Cate took the pot, moving up nearly to double his starting stack already.

The next hand, Chocron flopped a set of queens and took down another pot when an opponent folded to a river bet of 1,000.

Nearly 15,000 was already in the pot as Fernando Banda and an opponent went to the turn on a board of 4♣Q♠K♥A♦. Banda then bet 12,000 from the cutoff and his opponent called in middle position.

The river was the 3♠ and Banda moved all in for 30,000. His opponent took a minute but eventually turned over Q♣Q♥ and tossed his set into the muck.

"He has to have aces or kings," the middle-position player said as Banda raked in the big pot.

Shahrtash on the Right Side of Another Cooler

Babak Shahrtash bet 1,000 in the cutoff and his familiar opponent called under the gun, as did another player in the hijack.

Shahrtash bet 2,000 on the 4♠ turn, but this time the under-the-gun player raised to 5,500. Action folded back to Shahrtash who called to see the 8♣ river.

His opponent then bet 10,700 and Shahrtash moved all in. The under-the-gun player snap-called for 30,000 and showed 6♣4♣ for trips, but Shahrtash had 10♠10♦ for a full house to inflict another cooler on his unfortunate opponent who was sent to the rail as the first bustout of the day.

Guindano Catches Mengouchi Speeding

The 3♦ river was again checked down and Mengouchi snap-mucked his cards, allowing Guindano to take the pot without a showdown.

Jose Jaraiz called under the gun as action went back on Georgian, who moved all in. "I think the big blind has aces, he has a draw, and the small blind has tens," another tablemate whispered.

The big blind took a few minutes before calling for 40,000, while Jaraiz also committed around 30,000.
