Día 1c empezado
The opening day of the 2024 European Poker Tour Prague festival kicked off with two flights in the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. In total, 552 players entered on the opening day, with just 83 advancing to Day 2 on Saturday, December 7.
The big stack everyone will be chasing is Felix Vu who is the clear chip leader after he bagged 626,000 in Day 1c ahead of Paul Hoefer (396,000). Day 1a chip leader Andre Winkler also bagged 396,000 from a starting stack of 30,000.
Notables through to Day 2 include 2023 NAPT Main Event champion Sami Bechahed and former EPT Main Event champion Robin Ylitalo, with PokerStars Ambassadors Barny Boatman, Georgina James and Benjamin Spragg all having to find a bag in a later flight.
Today, we see two more flights starting with Day 1c at noon local time. Players start with 30,000 in chips and blinds at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Levels will last 40 minutes each, and registration remains open until the end of Level 10, allowing for late arrivals and reentries.
Day 1b bags up when the field is trimmed to 15% of total entries, guaranteeing those who bag chips a spot in the money on Day 2.

Three players were in action on a 10♥8♦J♦ flop, with Alejandro Romero and Ege Guven checking out of the blinds. David Docherty bet 400 and got two calls.
The trio checked the 7♦ and the 5♥ completed the board. Romero bet 1,600 and Guven was the only caller.
Romero tabled A♦9♦. Guven turned over 9♥6♣ for a straight, appearing to believe it was a chop. However, Romero had turned the nut flush and took down the pot.
