The 2024 PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas $5,300 Main Event will play down to a winner this weekend, but there has been plenty of side event action throughout the past week. PokerNews has live reported several of those tournaments, and during that time our live reporting team has captured some big and game-changing hands.

For example, we already published an article on Jeremy Becker getting his aces cracked by Jonathan Little early in the $25,000 Super High Roller. You can read all about that hand here.

Time to look at some other interesting hands from the past week of the PokerNews live updates from the 2024 NAPT.

Defending Champ Bechahed Eliminated

Nivel 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Sami Bechahed
Sami Bechahed

Sami Bechahed raised to 100,000 from under the gun with 30,000 behind and Byung Shin called in the cutoff.

On the 982 flop, Bechahed bet his last 30,000 and Shin called.

Sami Bechahed: QJ All in
Byung Shin: KK

Bechahed was in bad shape but picked up a gutter on the flop. The A on the turn changed nothing and the Q on the river sealed his fate as the defending champion hit the rail.

Wilson Hero Calls Frasca

Nivel 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson

Brian Frasca bet 40,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 1084 and Brock Wilson raised to 115,000 in the big blind. Frasca called and the 5 fell on the turn.

Wilson checked to Frasca who bet 80,000. Wilson just called this time and the A fell on the river. Frasca then bet 285,000.

Wilson spent a few minutes in the tank before calling as Frasca showed KQ for a bluff. Wilson turned over 64 for a pair of fours to win the big pot.

"Wow. Change table. I don't want to play at this table anymore," tablemate Masato Yokosawa said.
