According to tablemate Ludovic Geilich, PokerStars Ambassador Barny Boatman was short and got his last chips in with 8x8x. He was up against the Jx10x of Algirdas Saveikis but failed to hold and he was eliminated.
There were around 21,000 chips in the pot on a board of J♥8♦K♦2♣, when Kostadin Kostadinov from middle position checked to Artur Ibragimov who was in the cutoff and bet 13,500. Ibragimov quickly called but action slowed when the 9♦ fell on the river and both players checked.
Kostadinov tabled A♣A♠ but lost to Ibragimov's flopped set with 8♥8♠. "You beat me in every pot!" said Kostadinov.
Iraklis Manikaros opened from early position to 4,000 and Nikolai Mamut three-bet from middle position to 12,000. When the action folded back to Manikaros, he called.
The duo saw a flop of J♥8♠9♥ where the action checked through to the 8♦ turn. Manikaros led out for 21,000, and Mamut called.
When the 5♣ dropped on the river, both players checked to showdown and Manikaros showed A♠Q♦ for ace-high, but Mamut tabled the winner as he paired his five on the river holding A♥5♥.
Radek Dragoun opened to 4,000 from early position and Artur Ibragimov three-bet to 13,500 from the big blind. Dragoun four-bet all in for 42,500 and Ibragimov quickly called.
Radek Dragoun: A♦Q♦
Artur Ibragimov: J♥J♣
The K♣10♣6♣ flop gave Ibragimov a flush draw to go with his pocket pair, and although the J♦ turn improved him to a set, Dragoun had turned a straight.
The board failed to pair on the 8♦ river and Ibragimov could only laugh at the circumstances as he shared a smile with Dragoun who doubled up.
Sven Stok opened from the button to 4,000. Yuri Dan called in the small blind and Michel Molenaar defended the big blind.
The 2♥5♦6♣ flop was checked around before Dan bet 3,000 on the 9♣ turn. Molenaar called before Stok moved all in for 31,000. Dan folded and Molenaar called after around a minute's thought.
Sven Stok: K♦K♥
Michel Molenaar: 9♦6♦
Molenaar spiked the 6♥ on the river to improve to a full house. Stock wished the table good luck before departing the tournament area.
Dimitrios Gkatzas opened to 4,000 from early position and Merijn Van Rooij defended his big blind.
Van Rooij check-called a 3,000 bet from Gkatzas on the K♥A♠2♣ flop and check-raised a 3,000 bet from Gkatzas to 10,500 after the K♣ paired the board on the turn. Gkatzas called.
Van Rooij put Gkatzas all in for his last 29,500 on the 3♥ river and Gkatzas snap-called.
Van Rooij tabled A♥10♣ for aces-up, but it was no good against Gkatzas' K♦J♦ for trip kings to award Gkatzas the double up.
Fulvio Boninsegna was all in for his stack of around 30,000 and had been put at risk by Luka Bojovic.
Fulvio Boninsegna: J♣J♠
Luka Bojovic: A♥Q♣
The flop of 5♥4♠9♦ kept the pocket jacks of Boninsegna in the lead, as did the 7♥ turn. However, the Q♠ on the river gave Bojovic a bigger pair, which meant Boninsegna was eliminated.
Arik Filstein opened from middle position to 4,000. Jakub Masojidek was the sole caller from the cutoff.
Filstein led for 4,000 on the flop of 7♠4♥Q♦ before Masojidek raised to 11,000. Filstein called before checking the 8♥ turn. Masojidek bet 15,000 before Filstein put him all in. Masojidek went into the tank for over a minute before folding.
